Vasyl Lomachenko (4-1, 2 KOs) retained his WBO world featherweight title on Saturday night on the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao pay-per-view undercard, cruising to a ninth-round KO victory over Puerto Rican challenger Gamalier Rodriguez (25-3-3, 17 KOs) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

+Fabian Jollywigs brilliant stuff. hard to say the distaince between he and other fighters are. I believe him and rigo's ability to be neck and neck. Inoue is another prodigy who looks sensational in there. Loma and Rigo both, though, do things with their movement that you hardly ever see. Both are on the same coin ,just different sides. Lomas feet are ridiculous offensively. Rigos are equally impressive defensively. Loma has a far better offensive arsenal and is more appealing to the eye. Rigo packs a bit more power in his left hand and makes up for the difference in offense with better overall defense. Loma takes a punch better. It's close. But Loma at 27 is only getting better. I'll say he gets the nod.

Both with an incredibly lengthy amateur careers, Vasya is extremely technical, but also a warrior, its just that no one has ever taken him to that point. I don't believe Rigo would be the fighter to do it, he is just not a fighter.

Lomachenko has amazing skills. As a southpaw, I can appreciate how he kept his right foot to the OUTSIDE of Rodriguez' left. My coach continuously stresses this. I also like how he switched lead mid-combo while stepping to his right. Nothing short of phenomenal. It looks as though Lomachenko is going to have a highly successful career ahead of him. I agree with jeFF Fury's comment - MUCH better than Pac vs. May. Double-thumbs-up for this fighter! Thanks for reading.

does he train anything else apart from boxing? the way he steps diagonally and around opponent as if setting himself up for grappling position. and at one point when he grabbed hand and the other time grabbed around waist and spun around... I checked wiki but it only says boxing.

aikicin he is a multifaceted athlete... as a kid and pre adolescent he played hockey, wrestled, did gymnastics, rode horses and is a very serious swimmer (covering up to 4 miles at a stretch in choppy, frigid waters back home)... so yes, boxing is just a part of his training regimen... prolly 70 percent.. the rest is all kinds of calisthenics

I love the UFC, MMA I love the UFC, MMA Я только предположил, освновываясь на тех глупых вещах, которые ты сказал. Если бы Родригез убрал руки от головы и попытался атаковать сам, его серию тут же бы перебили или он бы попался на контратаку от Василия, что и происходило весь бой. О том, что бой куплен, вообще без комментариев. Если ты столько занимался боксом, то должен понимать, что этот бой был неконкурентным с самого начала.
