Thank you for another fantastic video. The Vatican Gardens are probably on the bucket list for many people. The City of Rome, or the Italian Government, should hire you to promote tourism.

Great to hear! I am not sure they offer this tour specifically with breakfast any more but since the Vatican Museums are included with this ticket, you could add on breakfast simply by visiting the Pine Cone courtyard or the café in the basement and getting breakfast (or lunch) separately.
I have watched a number of your videos. You do a good job! Is there a big difference between watching your videos and actually visiting the places you feature? When I watched your video on the Colosseum I thought that a visit to Rome with all the costs and hassles of travel would not be that much better, or even better at all than your video. What say you?

Thanks for the suggestion. I am not sure they are running this tour this year. The visit to Castel Gandolfo has changed and now focuses mostly on the palace and less on the gardens. I did a video about visiting the gardens at Castel Gandolfo (during the pandemic so we are masked), but they no longer do this visit. Thank you so much! No, you will not be able to go inside any earlier than the time you have booked for the garden tour. You can only go inside at about 8:45 so you can get to the tour meeting area to meet your guide. From there your guide will take you into the gardens and only after the gardens can you then visit the museums.

What is the official site to buy tickets for colosseum now I see they are changing the ticketing. Coming in July 9-11 from New Zealand Vatican still waiting for tickets to open
It's a slow walk but there are some slopes. As I mentioned, we were there for about 2 hours. As you can see, people of all ages were on the tour. On the Vatican Museums website, they state that for this tour to specifically be wheelchair accessible, you should book with them separately as that becomes its own tour with its own route (I imagine.) But if you are just talking about a cane or something similar, it's probably doable. Or, you might consider just taking the bus tour.
@Romewise thanks for the reply. It's a wheeled walking frame. She should be even more mobile by next year. We just had to plan routes and take our time last week.
@@lornamorgan3575 Ah I see. I am not 100% sure this tour would be ok for her - maybe try next year if she is a bit more mobile. If you watch this video through and through, you will get a sense of the route, the terrain, and the pace and maybe you can judge better for yourself if it would be suitable.
I don't think my full comment was posted. In late 2021, we were able to travel to Rome and Florence. (That was interesting as most people didn't expect Americans to be traveling at that time.). We took the bus tour of the gardens but it drove so fast by almost everything. We didn't see over half of the items that you showed. The next time we're in Rome we will book the walking garden tours!
@@joyceburkhardt955 Yes that was an interesting time indeed! Yeah I see that bus zipping by and I think it's a great idea for a quick visit and certainly for anyone who doesn't want to walk. But the walking tour is much more interesting and in-depth! I hope you'll get to do it on your next visit.
