Great tutorial. A handy tip: you can prefile your flightplan to Vatsim directly from Simbrief. 1) Simbrief: after pressing "generate flight" there's a button "Prefile flight". 2) The page will scroll down. Press the button saying "Vatsim". A new page will open. All info will be populated for you. At the bottom of that page, press prefile. 3) Once at your selected airport and stand, start Vpilot and connect with the same callsign you put into Simbrief (super important!) 4) In Vpilot press "Flight plan" and on the following page press "Fetch from server". Everything will be automatically pupulated for you. 5) Press "File flightplan". Done!
Been playing MSFS for a while now and just decided to make the jump into VATSIM but had no idea where to start. These videos are great and rich with information. Thank you and hope to see more!
Excellent, Excellent & Excellent. Been meaning to take the next step and go to Vatsim, but have been nervous. Your guidance is brilliant, holding the Newb's hand all the way. So now waiting for the next step. Will wait for all your tutorials to be published before flying, but am now 'Observing' on Vatsim. Thank you Sir.
Amazing tutorial. This tutorial series is so calm, relaxing and incredibly helpful for those us us dipping our toes into Vatsim for the first time, removing so much of the anxiety around it. My wife and I (who are MSFS newbies) are excited to learn more! We're so looking forward to Episode 3!
Thanks for great tutorials to get started on VATSIM. In your opinion, would it be wise to fly an aircraft without MCDU. I don't have such fancy aircraft.
Looking at SIMBrief aircraft options, the aircraft options are limited to commercial for the most part. I'd love to file for the Mooney M20J I want to sim with. Is there a way to enter in alternatives to what is in the system? Its pretty limited for GA as far as I can tell... If not possible here, can anyone suggest an alternative?
Amazing tutorials keep it up 👍… Question how do you determine which direction you’re facing from a stand when given push and start clearance to face certain direction?
Thanks for watching. I use the heading indicator, either on the navigation display or the compass. You can tell more or less which way you are facing and by that you can tell which way to turn
hi, is there going to be an episode 3, so far this series has been really helpful, and i was wondering if there was going to be an episode 3 soon, thanks
You mentioned that you need to know how to program and fly missed approaches in the A320. But as far as I know, the Missed approach is not yet available in the FBW version right? Any workarounds for this?
What happens if delivery, gnd and twr are off but center is on? are you departing as if its uncontrolled airfield and then ask for ifr clearance in the air or you contact center whilst on the ground?
It depends on which area controller you are flying under. Some will give top down service all the way to gnd. Some only take control from a certain flight level. If unsure you can normally check on their atis or send them a pvt message and ask them.
Please don’t be distracted by Christmas, UK strikes, Trump and his upcoming criminal charges…….. this is far more important. Tell the wife you will buy her a flat in Spain if she learns Spanish, buy some serious time. FINISH THIS SERIES. (thanks)
What happens if you make your flight plan with the wrong runway in use? Do you just go to the runway the atc tells you? Or do you have to go into the computer on plane and change it?
