IFR, push and start, taxi and takeoff on VATSIM with full ATC in a Thomson Airways Boeing 757-200 at EGKK London Gatwick bound for Geneva LSGG. Derated 30 degrees over the actual outside air temperature as aircraft had a light load hence why i got to 80 knotts very quickly on departure. Skip to 15:10 for the takeoff

@officeboy1977 Well thankyou for ATC at LGW, just to let you know you lot are brilliant at EGKK, used to fly out of EGCC all the time, but you guys at Gatwick are on literally everyday until silly hours in the morning. So well Done!

I wish there were options in all VC's to remove the yoke. I've got one in front of me, I don't need another on the screen. All it does is get in the way of the gauges and eat up FPS. Nice video mate, I'm trying to get into VATSIM and need all the help I can get

Very Nice! I love the european side of Vatsim, even though I'm an american pilot. Unfortunately, I mostly only do the JFK or BOS to LHR, ZRH, AMS, etc. so I can't make it for the ATC Great video! Keep them coming!

Taxiing in the 757 is a doddle virtually as you can preserve a stable taxi speed with the engines at idle. When you come to a sharp turn slow to around 5-10 knots, spool the engines up to around 30% N1 whilst conducting the turn to maintain speed then smoothly reduce the throttles back to idle when your speed increases again. Usually i never exceed 20 knots (GS) whilst taxiing. Remember though depending on your weight of you’re a/c you may require more power to build momentum. Hope this helps :)

I'd say it's one of the busiest networks with in Vatsim. Usually it depends on peak times Typically from 18:00-21:00 gmt time is regularly the busiest The busiest airport in the UK for online ATC i'd say would be EGKK as they frequently deliver full services a lot such as: Delivery, ground, tower and director and above you have all the different sectors such as London north south centre and of course Euro control So yes it can be very busy and of course all of the other online atc with in the UK

Hi the number i put into the FMC (1,500ft) is the acceleration height. Depending on the weight of your aircraft weather conditions etc. This is the speed you start accelerating from your V2 speed and start retracting the flaps. Usually this is higher than 1,500ft but in this case the aircraft was very light so therefore the aircraft climbed at a very high rate even with thrust reduction. So to decrease the high climb i decided to reduce the climb & accelerate at a lower altitude. Hope this helps

If you're refering to the freq's for the ATC's online I use VRoute. If you just want ATIS for exampel you can just google it.

Also to mention when using the VC if you zoom out far enough to see the essential avionics control colums, you can't bloody see the gauges then their that small. I don't like zooming right in then i can't see all of my gauges which really annoys me as i like to monitor everything even when taxiing. In the 2d panel everything is practically there what you need. So thats why i think the VC is shit in FS9. I'm not going to speculate or say anything about FSX's VC's as i have never used FSX at all.

How do you work out 1) The trim setting 2)Derated thrust/assumed temp setting? Please help... I've been wanting to know for ages but just can't find the answer. Great video - sub'd. :)

Hi I use Fs passengers to give me a accurate CG to calculate trim settings. I also use TOPCAT which calculates takeoff performance data such as assumed t/o settings etc which is quite realistic (also gives CG and trim settings for t/o). The 757-200 with a long runway and a full-ish payload usually can perform a de-rated departure with about +48-+54 degrees of thrust (dry, long runway, with an outside temp of 15 degrees Celsius [roughly!])

All I will and ever use i very rarely use the VC when I do its to look around while im in autopilot haha but yes i agree with what ThomsonAirwaysFs said its shit! Can't see a damn thing in it and personally i think the 2d panel is more realistic!

In my opinion the virtual cockpit is well; it's shit. In FS9 which i use at a high resoloution i still can't see the gauges properly. The gauges stick and lag which for me isn't realistic at all. For example when spooling the engines up the N1% gauges lag and there is a delay, unlike using the 2d. Also with the 2d panel you get a much clear view which is essential when taxiing as i can actually read the taxiway signs unlike in the VC.

Yeh great but I'm interesting in FSPASSENGERS i download it from the pirate bay and it works after that i put password and name in verifing this but after some time about 10-15 min it stop to work..Did you buy it or same how about i?and if you do like me then tell me how and where you download it?
