The 'Lento' from the 'Six Studies' has long been one of my favorite RVW pieces. It becomes a dance between the two instruments with the cello handing to the piano the main theme midway, a lovely exchange and so beautifully balanced.

I liked Larghetto "Van Dieman's Land" the best because apart from the little tuning glitches, I thought this had the best folk feeling. Some of the others had a certain "I’d rather be playing Brahms" quality about them.
