The 'Lento' from the 'Six Studies' has long been one of my favorite RVW pieces. It becomes a dance between the two instruments with the cello handing to the piano the main theme midway, a lovely exchange and so beautifully balanced.

What a gem! I found it by searching on Vaughan Williams and cello. Delightful!

Well done! I'm working on these pieces now and watching Mr. Moore's fingerings (as opposed to my own) has helped in my approach to this work. Thank you.

Beautiful. I almost don't even care that you stole it from the tuba. (that was a joke, great job.)

Actually, this piece has been transcribed for many instruments including the Tuba.

I liked Larghetto "Van Dieman's Land" the best because apart from the little tuning glitches, I thought this had the best folk feeling. Some of the others had a certain "I’d rather be playing Brahms" quality about them.

Lovely playing. Beautiful sound and thank you for not moving the camera. What kind of cello is that? It looks like a large pattern.
