Sorry for missing this live...Love that '79-CC, as well as a beauty of a Peace dollar! I really like the "Shipwreck coin"! I have no idea what a vault box is so I'm going to research that a bit. Thanks for sharing that reveal with us , Indigone!
My price guide shows it worth in average condition (VG-8) around $88 bucks. At an (MS60) it can be worth $3,204. At an (MS63) it jumps to a whopping $6,380! Being inscribed and a ship wreck??? I have no idea.$$$$$$
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the three box packs like this. The singles *feel* like better odds (even though they're still bad) since each box has an equal chance to hit a red core.
Great job with the video. That’s some cool stuff just thinking what could possibly come out of that box. These anticipation must have been incredible. Something you will always remember. If you don’t come out ahead , think of all the times you scored on other deals. Once in a while you gotta have fun. There is always time to make money other ways. With the possibility of getting one of those rare $50,000 or more coins. Some people are going to be ecstatic.
I think the trade dollar was really cool. It might have just been dull from the Salt water & had uncirculated details? Great video, brother. Sorry I missed it 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
I bought this under no pretense it was a good/winning investment from a numismatic standpoint. I said last time (and still believe) these are dumb and people shouldn't do this except for entertainment value only. And at $1249, this series was well above the entertainment value... This was more an investment for my channel and a test to see what level of value these contained. It's been a wild success on the first count, and it's making me research shipwreck coin values so a success on that point as well.
I just bought one of the series 7 and I feel like I may have made a mistake. However I spent money on going out and other things like a fool so we will see.
I feel as if maybe the odds should be different. So they should cost like 200$ and have the floor be 150. So they are making money but they are not so god-damned expensive. You also don't feel like you lost your whole bank.
Although you struck a key in the 1879-CC, you''ll find that if you continue to buy these Vault Boxes you'll end up spending lots of money for fairly common items. You'd do better to take your money and buy coins at your local coin store. You'll see what you're getting and won't pay outrageous money for these items.
One hundred percent agree, and I knew that going in. The house **always** wins in the end after all. I openly admitted last time that it's a stupid thing to do if you're in it for the coins. This was two-fold for me: 1) content for my (small) channel & 2) an experiment to see how much "actual value" is in a box. It has been a wild success on the first count.
