My problem with destiny was, is and will forever be the seasonal system where you lose access to story parts if you weren't there for the season it was in. Otherwise its raid system is fantastic and loads of fun from what I see online
they sortof implemented a fix for that, although it's not perfect. if you own the season then you are able to play through the content not just for when the season is there, but until the next expansion iirc. it doesn't help new players that come in mid expansion (or at least i don't think so) but it does allow you to take a break and come back, while still being able to enjoy the content.
@@IlyaDalamiq that does seem like an OK band-aid for the problem if you're an old player but like you said it just means myself, for example, as a new player would just be absolutely lost. Kinda wish they'd use the same patch system that xiv uses for story parts instead of this system.
I just played this raid for the first time in over 7 years since Destiny launched. Man. It’s crazy how long it’s been. I finally got the good ol fatebringer and machine gun 👍😊
i think the symbolism of this raid is insane. all the hydra locked away in this raid dont have shields besides templar. harpys are blowing up entire rooms now. it shows to me that these vex are from the future, where they may have already won and dont need to engage in combat. templar and aetheon having shields symbolizes their advancement and how important they are to the vex race. maybe the other hydras have templar shields but never expected to use them since they have probably been locked away for so long. such a contrast to garden of salvation, which i think are vex from the past. they feel old, but the prescence of hydras with old shields means that since we killed the future vex, (vog vex) vex either reverted back to their old ways and have been decaying, or they were before the vex of templar and aetheon. idk much about lore someone can correct me lol
It also reminds me of Curse of Osiris, and how we have Panoptes, the Infinite Mind, as he tried to use the Infinite Forest to shape the real world's future to one where the Vex wiped out all life in the universe, except themselves. And it is said the Vault of Glass converges the past and the future together into the present, so what you said is pretty accurate.
i've been liking bottom tree dawn for that part of the raid for a while now because you can also run the mod to stun the overload champions with your melee. but if the wyverns themselves are your only problem, a nova bomb will pretty much take care of them. can also run a rocket launcher for some extra burst to get them down fast.
