YES!!!!! I've been WAITING for you to get to your Horus Heresy series. It's seriously the entire reason I got into Warhammer. Hell, all of the 40k stuff is cool and all, but then I learned about the Horus Heresy and was like "Wait, you mean there was incredibly badass civil war between humanity with god like beings involved and we missed it. WHAT THE HELL MAN!?" But yeah. I love your series and I've been waiting for this for a long time. Here's hoping new episodes will come out..... at least semi-regularly.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to dedicate the entire, separate video to the "tempting of Horus" and how his downfall into Chaos actually came to be. Cause it is really a cool, if little convoluted, story.

reminds me of nobunaga, assigned great generals to conquer various parts of japan after leading them himself in battles prior, then gets assassinated by one of his most trusted general..

Ah! I knew you would get to it, well done! As always some of the most interesting stuff on YT. It makes me curious though, I know The Imperium has been around for over a quarter of a century, but even when it first emerged (for me in a boardgame just called "Space marine") it had this rich history so I just wondered if anyone knows how long it took GW to "invent" their universe....which I still consider one of the deepest and most rich in science fiction. Really great work!By the way there were about 15 pages of "Space Marine" that were all background and lore as well as a five page painting guide so the "fluff" was there. Fluff seems such an odd word to use to describe a work that is by comparison far more substantive than most of it's peers....

The great lesson of: Don't promise what you cannot produce. This thing has been giving you over a year of grief xD

2 years....worth the wait:p the emperor nearly managed to pull if off. Pity he completely humiliated Lorgar causing him to turn away from his father and brothers and seek out enlightenment from Erebus and Kor -Phaeron which didnt turn out well for the galaxy. Good old primarchs some of my fav characters in any lore but despite all there power and knowledge still have problems with brotherly love.

Forgot to mention the Cult Mechanicum and their Skitarii forces when listing the individual pieces which made up the fighting force of the emperor's great crusade as a whole (unless you were including them with the Legio Titanicus, and the Knightly Houses).

Chaos Undivided!

So, we finally arrive on the long awaited subject. o7

Couple of things The Primarch project happened towards the end of the Unification war not after it. His plans for the Patriarchs as it's written weren't just to be generals but to be an entire new army but after they were taken he decided against pulling the eyes of the gods and cut down the gene stock of each to mass produce a new army to replace the Thunder Warriors because they were reaching the enc of their life cycle. The last battle of the Unification war was a joint attack by the last few Thunder Warriors and the 1st Legion. Then the 1st legion and the first few custodians marched on Luna then to mars and fought to a stale mate that ended in the joining of the mechanicus, then I've not found any fluff myself until they sign a deal with the saturnine Fleets purely because they could have wrecked the emps fleet in fire power at the time. But I've not heard of any fluff about xenos in the sol system. Also the Council didn't really exist until Horus was named warmaster

The Dark Angels' civil war started after the Heresy. During most of the Heresy the Dark Angels were mostly fighting the Night lords during the Thramas Crusade far from Terra. I'm sure you knew that but felt it might not be known by some seeing this.

Oooo all this heresy is making me feel a tingly inside.

The Siege of Terra is an epic in itself

This would be a good opportunity to describe the of the Alpha Legion, where they ended up as well as background to the culture that the Alpha Legion Prime marks grew up in and every else leading up as far as you would normally go with other Prime marks. I would like to note that the Alpha Legion were not discovered by the Emperor during the Horris Heresy and I am a bit anoyed that knowone seems to want to discuss the Alpha Legion in great detail. not to mention the fact that there were other Prime marks who were expunged from the records way before the great crusade!

Are you going to do a video for each Primarch and the legions?

I would like to see more of the xenos races, and not just the playable ones but the smaller ones.

So...I've been interested in Warhammer 40K for awhile, but I never really knew where to break into it. The lore sounds really cool and the table top game looks pretty fun from what little I've seen of it. How does one get into Warhammer 40K? It seems like these videos might be a good spot to get a little bit of the lore (I will check to see if there are some basic overviews of the races, Tyranids in particular look really cool to me). But any recommendations on how to get started with the tabletop? Like, where to get started on researching to get an idea of even where I should be going with it, to find what style would suit me, or if the game even is a good fit for me?

I have been reading Warhammer books for a very long time and I've always wondered why in the 40th century there is, to my observation no or very little mention of people from the African continent. Was it destroyed or do the writers just not have a vision that includes that part of the world ?

Either that word doesn't mean what I think it means or I just need a starting point? What is the best book to begin the Horus Heresy with. 5:00 pretty sure the Chaos gods knew about the project before the scattering. I remember that the Emperor actually made a deal with the gods to make the primarchs. Later the Emperor broke the deal and that's when the gods of Chaos scattered the primarchs across the galaxy.
