Side notes the sump isn't held in with Torx bolts. They have pointier points. The proper tool is RIBE bolts. Not expensive for a set but make the job easier.
Im having the same issue on a 2010 insignia i just bought It only shows the message on cold but not wanting to leave it too long so its booked in in a few weeks . There is an upgraded part available which i should have this week It should be interesting to compare the two This shohld have been a factory recall so shame on vauxhall for this ! Excellent video chap ! 👍👍
Love it, no fucking about. . . on the cold driveway like all DIYers. I might see if I can get a nice cheap one and have a crack at this. Great explanation of the issue too. Good video mate.
yes but it's chinese. I would get the part to have the aluminium but i would not trust them on the quality of the O-rings they put on so i'd remoove them and get better quality ones instead.
I need help! I have a lot of black smoke and some liquid in between the engine and the firewall somewhere from the EGR I guess. I have seen craked EGR cooler cap as a common thing, is that all the problem there it shoots smoke and coolant even in the firewall direction? or I should look to something else in the EGR? I have seen your other video on similar subject, I would higly apreciate any information! Thank you and sorry for my bad English.
Hello, first, thank you for taking the time to do these videos. I happen to have the same Insignia as you. Soon I will have to change this rubber to prevent failures. But for now, my main concern is that the other day my engine overheated, there is no leak of the coolant, and the service belt is perfect, so 2 possibilities remaining I think, the temperature sensor is faulty or the thermostat is malfunctioning, although I have tested this one, and when the fan turns on there is flow through the radiators. What do you think? Just one more thing, for me, is hard to find the OE or OEM parts that I have to change, for example, the thermostat, do you have any webpage were you search parts by your Insignia vin number? And also, do you know were to find or get a repair workshop manual of the insignia? Thank you so much again.
I have a 2015 insignia 2.0 cdti I need to re- check I’m pretty sure I don’t have those notches in the gearbox to access the 2 sump bolts, maybe I’m wrong. My car has 50k running fine but came across these videos when checking how to change alternator wheel.
hi, i have a constant vehicle service message coming on dash,, (no low oil pressure) when pluged in i get code P06DC engine oil pressure control solenoid valvue control circuit high voltage! / is this the same problem with my insignia too? or could it be just a oil pressure switch thanks 180k KMs
Slave cylinder went in my 2013 insignia, so I decided to change the seal and fit a full new clutch kit. It's a serious bit of work, but it should be worth it. I'll never know why they put the clutch slave cylinder on the shaft. I'd advise anyone to clean up the front sub frame and paint it because they are famous for rusting out and snapping. I'm cleaning up mine, and I'm going to oil the inside of it with a diesel gun.
Hi, I have a old Vauxhall 2009, driving for last 2 years. Bought it knowing that it has a slow oil leak from bottom. It passed 2 MOT with it. Looked it the bottom of the car, looks like oil was slowly leaking for sometime as bottom of the engine has sticky oil residue. Where inpark the car, in last few year noticed only several drops of oil leaking on the concrete. My question is, is this oil leaking from Engine bay or Transmission gear box? If I top up Engine oil, will it be ok? Is it really need to be fixed, if yes how much will it cost?
Why does it happen only after an oil change mate? Thought of changing the oil and is a bit worried now. How much for the labour btw to have that seal changed? Thx
Hello, I'm french. So, excuse my english😅. First, good job for this video, only english men make vidéo on RU-vid for this job😮💨. Si, thank you to you👍 Can you tell me if tour Gear box IS a M32 or a F40 please? We told me I would have to lower thé Gear box if it was a F40😮💨. Good road to you😉
Hi you seem very well knowledgeable in this subject. I have the low oil pressure thing on my insignia. My question to you is though it only sounds slightly knocking on the load. Could I get away with changing the seal and the shells and hope for the best, what does it mean my engine is on his way out?
