Vauxhall Opel Meriva A 2005-2010 lower headlamp bulb change drivers side H7 12v 55w bulb. Passenger side similiar except just remove battery for better access view etc
Just replaced the same bulb. Managed with taking only the pipe out, but I can understand it could be difficult for people who do this for the first time.
The covers can be tricky to get back on correctly, I used a yellow paint pen to mark their fitted position and the remove position with a scribe line between cap and headlight body for each, they can still be tricky as some are bloody tight to pull out, on LHD versions they have the same fitting as corsa c, a very simple twist and pull bulb holder which is much easier esp in confined spaces, I always take air box out complete, simply undo screw holding "bar" then tilt up at rear it comes out ok

The handbook is rubbish , it says lift bonnet, secure, remive cover and phish bulb down to remove. I thought, like my saab, quick headlamp removal will sort it. But it seems to be secured by an invisible screw on the bumper, so i gave up
When I looked I did think bit tricky due to lack of space! Will try your method if needed as I like to see what I’m doing.will wait a couple of days as it hurts like hell if you bang your hands when it’s cold!! Many thanks.
