a year ago, i was inspired by this vid....and i bought a opel astra 1,4 t (140hp) Cosmo. It´s a really good car for the price (14 000€ new ! ) me and my girlfriend love it....we have a white astra with black roof packet and this combination looks pretty nice :) So thank you Angelos Fotiadis ..greeeting´s from Slovakia
Thank you very much! I'm planing to make more videos :) The average consumption according to trip computer is ~ 8l /100Km but it is new, only 1300Km , in future the consumption will decrease.
Well I am pretty heavy footed just because thats the way I am but this month i took it a bit easier and my average right now is 9 litres with an average speed of 63 kph down from my usual 64.5 kph .Bear in mind i dont live or work in a city so not a lot of stop start.The car is worth buying in my opinion.Drives well and is quick.Just rest your foot on the accelerator and from 2000 rpm the turbo does the rest.hope this helps
Πολύ καλό βίντεο άριστο το αμάξι ωραία οδήγηση. Μόνο οι δρόμοι μας είναι για κλάματα αλλά και πάλι φαίνεται το opel να είναι αντοχής! 18 άρα ζάντες έχει?
το αμάξωμα ειναι ανετο , πολυ στιβαρό και με καλη ηχομόνωση. Ο μονος τομέας που θα μπορούσε να ηταν βελτιωμένος ειναι η κατανάλωση, με πολυ συντηρητική οδήγηση στην επαρχία που κινούμαι ειναι περίπου 8-8,5l/100km To turbo ανοίγει απο πολυ χαμηλά, κατω απο τις 2000rpm , εχει πολυ ροπή αλλα δεν ειναι δυνατών να κανεις οικονομία οσο και σιγά και να πας... Κατα τα αλλα ειμαι πολυ ευχαριστημένος και το προτείνω σε όποιον ψάχνει αμάξι σε αυτη την κατηγορία. .
Nice driving - fast but sooth without risk for the others. But 4th to 2nd wasn't very good idea ;) and what is the rattling noise? Is it from the camera and road bumps or problem with the build quality?
Μπορει και να το εχω δει το βινετο και 10 φορες... Το γουσταρω πολυ. Φτιαξε κανενα καινουργιο βιντεακι, τωρα θα εχει ''ανοιξει'' και ο κινητηρας περισσοτερο και θα πηγαινει λιγο καλυτερα.

Thing is most people get concerned about how quick the car is when they buy it so you only want to outright thrash it to see how it performs, as you do,. But, what you don't look for is how it picks up for normal situations like low end pull in in a high gear,, I have heard that these are very laggy and you will, well I would eventually get pissed off with it, cause I like to have good low rpm kick, as well power through the rev range,. Which this don't,.always needs to be in a low gear to accelerate hard,. Noisey engine revving away all the time. Irritating, to me anyway.
I think the lag is there on purpose to give you the option to stay out of the turbo if you want to drive in eco mode. Then when you want the extra power (with which comes the extra fuel consumption), you increase rpms over 2200. Cruising in 5th and 6th gears will keep you around 1800-2000 rpm, depending on speed.

getting the 2.0L cdti Hopefully its as nippy as this, What was the handling like i know its a few years back but looking for some advice on which to buy. I want something with good power but good handling too.
Did you ever get one. I got the 2l cdti Sri 165bhp and it isn't as nippy, not slow at 8.4 to 60mph, (claimed 8.9) but where it comes to life is the torque 258lbf/350nm, it really does take off once it gets going. I also got the (semi) auto, best of both worlds a nice lazy drive with the wife and kids, the you can have fun when alone.
I thought the very same when i first got it. its has 7500 miles on the clock. OK gear are weird in this car at first but when you get use to them they are great !!! do not change gear to 3rd gear until 37 MPH or there abouts you really have to be in the right gear or it is shit slow :D 2200 to 3800 it seem to lose a little pull after this range in third. Then 4th gear comes keep your foot planted untill about 4300 then 5th about the same you'll be doing 129 ish by this time 6 th i just use to hold the car at its top speed. Gets twitchy on bends at this speed So keeep the ESP on.
Nice. I have a question, how is your radio reception. Mine is awful fm suffers the worse bit DAB isn't much better. I took it to vauxhall (opel) and they 'tested it' and said it fit in with thier parameters. Also another radio/electric issue I have: i get a an Audible hum if I try and charge my phone in either the usb or 12v while I listen to media via the auxiliary jac (the headphone jac to the aux im) It created a ground loop, and the electron Hum/buzz appears. Doesn't matter if it's android/apple/tablet /phone, I get the same issue. Thr guy at opel said it's a know fault that they can't fix as it's a design flaw. I like the car and overall enjoying it but i don't think I'll go vauxhall/opel/GM next time.
Τριγμούς δεν εχει ουτε η ανάρτηση ουτε το ταμπλό, μόνο ενας τριγμός ακούγετε απο ενα κάλυμμα που βρίσκετε μπροστά απο τους διακόπτες των φώτων καμπίνας στην οροφή. Αυτο όμως με λιγο διάφανη σιλικόνη θα το φτιάξω, δεν ειναι κατι σημαντικό.

I have Astra J Tourer 1.4 turbo,140 hp bi-fuel for 6 years now and car is 9 years old in total.320.000 km,no big problems at all.Great car,just keep changing engine oil every year,use high quality full synthetic oil,it is now Dexos 1 GEN2 (not Dexos 2 GEN1 anymore) and always use high octane premium fuel..98 minimum!I also change air filter every year,every 2 years I change brake and gearbox oil,coolant and spark plugs.I do it by myself and everything I mentioned above cost me under €150 and 2 hours of work in total.Sometimes I ad some additives like octane booster or injector cleaner but not to often,twice a year maybe.With regular maintence and love,this car is just a great deal.
Is this the GTC? I have the 120 bhp 1.4 GTC Sport and I was amazed by the power of it. After seeing this though I think I will swap it for a 140 bhp model. Nice video btw :)
Отличный ролик, в котором показано все то. чего в обычных обзорах никто не показывает. динамика для этого класса отличная, расход топлива идеален. вопрос только в сроке службы турбины.
is the steereing wheel (V - shape) comfortable? it seems to me that most of the time you hold the steering in the place where arms and wheel touch each other... isn't it annoying a bit? (thz for good film!)

Ευχαριστώ, να εισαι καλά. Κυμη παω, ναι. Απο κατανάλωση οσο δεν το πατας παίζει γύρω στα 8l/100km εαν το πατάς ρουφάει την βενζίνη χωρις να το καταλάβεις... πχ εθνική με 6η και 3500rpm ειναι στα 160km/h , κατανάλωση παιζει στα 10-11l/100km Απ επιδώσεις καλο ειναι... εχει ρωπη στις 2.000rpm ! Δεν ειναι κανενας πύραυλος... ειναι και πολυ βαρι... αλλα σε γενικες γραμμές ανετο και η χρυσή τομη απόδοσης/ οικονομίας... ( εκαι που εχει φτασει η βενζίνη...)

Ευχαριστώ για το σχολιο :) Δεν εχω βαλει macro , το video ειναι απο την Dslr , Canon 5dmkii σε συνδυασμό με ενα υπερευρυγωνιο φακο Nikon 14-24 f2.8, Για την λυψη χρησιμοποίησα 14mm ωστε να χωρέσει ολλο το εσωτερικό του αμαξιού και αυτο εχει ως αποτέλεσμα αυτή την ιδιαίτερη προοπτική του υπερευριγωνιου φακου. Προσωπικά είμαι πολυ ευχαριστημένος απο το αυτοκίνητο , τα 140ps ειναι αρκετα για το απλο astra , οι προσπεράσεις ειναι γρήγορες και ανετες, η εθνική περνάει ξεκούραστα
I attached the camera on a benro carbon tripod and I putted 2 tripod feet in front seat rear bags and the third feet on the rear seat. It was stable and the camera position was in the middle of 2 front seats.
Σε ευχαριστώ φιλε μου. Καλορίζικο και το δικο σου! Θα το ευχαριστηθείς! Ειναι πολυ στιβαρό και άνετο στον δρόμο με αρκετη δύναμη. Για την κατανάλωση αναφέρω 8l/100km γιατι μενω μόνιμα στην Εύβοια και τωρα που το στρώνω παω χαλαρά, μου δείχνει απο 7,5 l/100km με 8,5-9l/100km , στην εθνική , με 3500rpm και 160-170km/h μου εβγαλε περίπου 10-11l/100km , δεν ξερω εαν ο υπολογισμός του ειναι 100% σωστός.... Την καμερα( FF dSLR με 14mm υπερευρυγωνιο ) την έστησα σε τρίποδο αναμεσα στα δυο καθίσματα
I buy it new (2019) Opel Astra T1400 sedan with enjoy + equipments. Oh man extra car I enjoy in full perspective with this car. I CAN RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE THIS CAR!
I am interested in buying the 1.4T (140PS) but I am really curious about urban consumption. What is the real, everyday, consumption in town? I know that different driving styles bring different consumptions, but I know that there should be a mean consumption that is "the same" or almost the same for various types of drivers. I've been told that urban consumption will be around 8,5-9,5lt/100km or even more. Would this be true? Thanks.

φιλε μ ωραιο το βιντακι σου,το μαη απεκτησα κ γω το δικο μου στα ιδια κυβικα τουρμπο(σπορ εκδοση εξοπλισμου).Απολυτα ευχαριστημενος μεχρι τωρα π το χω χρησιμοποιησει εγνατια κ πραγματικα ευχαριστηθηκα οδηγηση,δεν ειχα καποιο προβλημα με τριγμους η κατι αλλο.Μια ερωτηση εχω να σ κανω:ακριβως πισω απ τη χειρολαβη της πορτας(οπως τη κρατας για να τη κλεισεις) εχει το δικο σου κρυφο κοκκινο φωτισμο οπως γυρω απ το λεβιε?το δειχνει μεν στο βιβλιαρακι αλλα και στο site αλλα το δικο μ δεν εχει..
nice video but there is one thing you should learn and that is revmatching, those agresive downshifts almost screams at you hit the gas, it helps the ride to be more softer and engine dont fight with all torque and high RPMs transitions and after all your clutch less wear ;) ... just my 2c
I also own a 1,4l with 140hp, but the sports tourer edition. It was the right decision to take this car. A lot of power and a great max speed (230 km/h down dale ;-) ) Actually i like my car :-) Greetings from germany
