Thank for review, was looking forward to it. One question though: why would anyone buy Grandland X when Zafira is better in every way and has similar price? As far as I can tell, dimensions are similar. View is much better from Zafira all around, especially back view and with excellent panoramic sunroof its pretty much unbeatable. Zafira is a bit taller so seating position is more comfortable, especially for second row. Zafira has choice of proper engines for car of such size. Why would anyone buy Grandland X instead of Zafira?
It's a valid point but at the moment buyers are opting for SUVs over MPVs, therefore manufacturers are launching more and more of them. Just look at the Citroen C3 Aircross (review by the end of the week). Here is an SUV replacing the an MPV, the C3 Picasso.
This is a less inspiring and boring GM version of the Peugeot 5008 [or is it 3008?]. You wouldn't believe it from the driver's seat though as this is typically GM/Opel/Vauhall bland while the Peugeot exudes its own flair and style. That's not necessarily a damning criticism, because many people prefer something familiar like their favourite pair of slippers. However GM-Europe's takeover by PSA [Peugeot/Citroen group] would seem to indicate which is the more successful brand and style overall.
