I was really hoping for a REALLY close game, since even though Mrekk lost last time, he did really well against Vaxei, and he's improved a lot since then, but damn this Bacon boi does not relent Edit: (after the grand finals on Oct 24 Vaxei vs Mrekk) Spoilers btw DAAAAAMN. Grandfinals Mrekk vs Vaxei. Mrekk 6 - Vaxei 7. Now THAT was what I wanted. Such a close af match, especially the last round. Gg to Mrekk, he really made Vaxei work for that win, as for bacon boi, I expected nothing less from the tourney GOAT. You guys should check the Twitch vod if there still ain't a video of it in RU-vid.
Man I feel bad for Mrekk, he put up a hell of a fight but just kept finding himself in the unfortunate position of waiting on Vaxei to miss, which is definitely one of those “don’t hold your breath” situations. Also absolutely nutty performance from Vaxei. GG’s all around and also props to Mrekk for being a good sport about it all too
@@zoahll9547 if vaxei chose to farm he could consistently set amazing scores. he minimally retry spams and if he chose to ddo so he would easily reach top 3 in my opinion. disregarding rank he is also top 5 or 3 in basically every category the game offers (also my opinion).
@@xiu8g3bnGUE The dude is unrivaled in tourneys but his skill is matched by people like bubbleman and whitecat which means he isnt dominant in those categories. Doesn't mean he isnt insane though
@@xiu8g3bnGUE I dont see him being top 5 in speed, pure low ar pattern recognition, extremely gimmicky slider tech maps etc, though I won't deny he is maybe the most versatile player in the game.
Cause vaxei won duhhh It's not like we hate mrekk but you gotta admit vaxei is the best all rounded player in the game making him better at tourneys than mrekk
You should see mrekk's nomod and hr scores. He is also an extremely well rounded player and can do tech/alt maps just as good as vaxei. Its his lack of tourney experience and consistency compared to vaxei which makes him lose I feel.
Come back to osu after 2 years to see Vaxei who was a clear second to Cookiezi when in their primes, is beating current best osu player who people consider "insane" for making inflated pp records like the recent 1241pp map looked very unimpressive and honestly could have been a 800-900pp map
Mrekk amazing player and yes even though he lost, he lost against one of the best tournament players in the world and also remember Mrekk still rank one among everyone in the game as well as setting plays that are more suspicious than some cheater.
i feel like the reason mrekk lost is purely due to his inexperience mrekk definitely has better snap aim, but vaxei just has more general skill (mrekk also was tired apparently)
Yeah when it comes to snap aim Vaxei is still pretty good but Mrekk is a different breed. Vaxei is imo the best tournament player ever. He just doesn’t feel tourney nerves
@@eeni4447 Because in reality, it's a fact that Mrekk is a farmer, like you can really get to see that being in the spot #1 doesn't mean that you're the best. And when you have people like Mrekk looking desperately for pp, and Vaxei looking for improvement, you can really tell who's enjoying the game the most, and this reminds me a lot to rrtyui's "plz enjoy game". That's what I really like about this match, it's not just about skill, it's also about two different philosophies, and of course, before getting to "Enjoy game" you had to be in the "Farmer side", that's something I've cleared, so I also expect this match to get Mrekk towards improvement and not pp.

@@badereric You were right and wrong about this, while he did play better resting also made a HUGE impact on the match, but it seems like not even peak mrekk is enough to best vaxei... He is the piece of bacon that came from the butt of the Pig God
