For some reason a portion of this story got cut out during editing. I didn't include the part where after the nurse checked me at 9cm, the next contraction my water broke naturally. Sorry about leaving that part out accidentally! :-)

Natalie Bennett Having had two drug-free natural births and a successful drug-free vbac myself, I know exactly, what you went through, how you felt, the joy and overall rush of emotions, as your baby is placed on your chest, and you hear their first cry. You feel this sense of achievement, like, I did it! I went through a painful labor and delivery, and my baby is here. I've also, experienced an emergency cesarean, because while in labor, the umbilical cord was between my baby's head and my cervix, and with each contraction, his head would push down against the umbilical cord, pinching it and his heart rate would dip down. My doctors ended up knocking me out for the surgery and I didn't wake up until I was in recovery. I just remember being so out of it. I tried getting my baby to latch on to breastfeed, but it was extremely difficult, because I wasn't able to focus. I honestly, hated feeling like that, and not being able to 100% care for and breastfeed my baby. The cloudiness and fog, eventually went away, but it took a good 12 or more hours, for me to be fully coherent. I'm beyond joyful and thrilled, that you were able to give birth via vbac, and the entire process was so beautiful, and you had your best friend and husband, there by your side! You're a very blessed woman, wife, and mommy! :)

Hi, please don't use epidural and don't let them use hormone induction as it can cause too strong contractions that ruptures the uterus. So I like the water tube dilate the cervix.

I'm a mom to 4 kids and pregnant with #5 and I'm due in November. I'm so glad you got to have a vbac. Baby #1 was natural with no epidural (I was 22 and had no clue what to expect and got to the hospital already at 6cm). #2 was an induction that turned into a c section (I progressed so fast the baby's heartbeat dropped during each contraction) I was fully dilated when I went in for the c section. #3 was a vbac with epidural ( I was already in the hospital for a 24 hour urine sample but I didn't finish it since i was only there for 2 hours when I went into labor). #4 was a vbac no epidural and the best experience I had out of all my babies. With baby #5 I have the same midwife and I will do it the same way as baby #4 as long as everything goes well which I don't see why it shouldn't.

Stephanie Harrison you remind me of myself. I have 5 kids my baby is 16 weeks old. With my 2nd I also had a C section and had Vbacs with my other kids. I only ever had an epidural with my 5th because my doc had to induce me cause my water broke and labor wasn't wanting to start. congrats on your 5th child and good luck when the time comes.

Natalie, the moment you spoke about Weston and this precious moment between you two literally made me cry. For some moment I felt like I was in your skin, going through the same thing. I think meeting someone you really love is a miracle. And you're so blessed to meet such a person, to have him as your husband and a father of your children, who are so happy to have the best parents ever. I wish I would have the same connection with my future husband, who is a little less emotional and I bet I'm gonna go into labor alone, haha. Well, anyways, thank you for sharing your love and this sacred private moment with us. Lots of love from Siberia (Russia).xx

Natalie, praise the lord! I am so glad that you were able to get your vbac and that everything went smoothly for you and Hailey. Hailey is so beautiful and I am so excited for you and your family as this new chapter unfolds. I am praying and excited for someday our hopeful natural home birth. Having experienced the diagnosis of and treatment for infertility(and we sadly still aren't pregnant yet and have more to treatment to go) I am totally for a natural birth without chemicals and doing a homebirth with our midwife. She has been so helpful even in our ttc journey and I do know that if it does turn into a situation that warrants legit intervention to hospital we are close by and can be transported if necessary. Yet, my midwife is of course all for doing everything as natural as possible intervention wise before we resort to the unnatural. Looking forward to more videos and updates on you and family! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

While I wasn't able to have mine with my third child (and I am in the VERY early stages of pregnancy with our fourth and I know I won't have any choice but to have another cesarean this time, which makes me sad!), nothing makes me happier than seeing other people become educated about VBAC, attemping a VBAC, and accomplishing a VBAC! I so needed to watch this video today. I'm due in 2 weeks with an induction tomorrow to be very likely due to high blood pressure. I've been so terrified and anxious and have let those feelings override any feeling of joy or excitement. End end of your video when you talked about the bond between you and your husband and then the feeling you had of seeing your baby and nursing right away made me so emotional in a good way. Exactly what I needed to gain back that excitement.

I've been looking forward to this video! Totally started crying when you talked about your feelings toward your husband during the birth experience, because I can relate one hundred percent. When I'm in labor and delivery, it's as if I'm in my own little world with my husband, and he helps me relax through the whole process. I was disappointed when I learned that I'll have to have a huge medical team present when I deliver our twins, but then I realized it probably won't matter because I'll only be aware of my husband anyway. ;) It was so sweet to hear your thoughts behind your sweet statements during the labor video. :) Thank you for sharing all the details!

Natalie, you inspire me.... 😃 By God's grace, I'm 3months pregnant with my 1st child right now.. And I plan to have a natural childbirth experience without any drugs.. But deep inside I'm quite afraid as well, since it's my 1st experience and I'm worried about the amount of pain I might go through, I really don't know what to expect.... But watching this video, I really admire how you find cheer, enjoyment and positivity throughout all the struggle you went through... You were so brave, I respect and admire you for that... And You made it look so beautiful and enjoyable and worth all the pain... It has inspired me more, and now I feel more positive about my natural childbirth plans... Thank you so much for this video, I really needed it... And I apologise for the long post.... 😅 May God bless you and your family Natalie... I'm really hoping and praying everything goes well for me too, just like you... Take care... 😘😊😊💜

I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my husband and I's first. This has me crying! What a beautiful birth story! I'm honestly terrified of labor and birth but also so excited to be a mother and see what my body is capable of. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your story! I've been watching for years and I've never seen this one. I'm a mama deciding between VBAC and scheduled csection for my second baby and hearing this was so helpful.

Loved watching this video! Great job mama! I ended up having a csection with my first baby and then had a vbac (4.5 years after my csection)with my second baby. I also delivered baby #3 and #4 vaginally too. Vaginal birth recovery was much better than my csection! Loved hearing about Weston and his support and love! So sweet!

I dont know if youll see this, but thank you so much for making your channel! Im a young mom and I dont really have another woman to talk to about babies. I found out im pregnant (currently 13 weeks) and you've taught me so much already. I know we don't know eachother, but youve been like a mother figure and someone to relate to and learn from, so thank you!
