Your tutorials not only touch upon the subject of the video, but also teaches extra tips that we could use for other scenarios in Live2D! Thank you as always for the amazing work and taking the time to create these lessons!
Thank you for the kind words!! I try to make sure I share as much of the process as possible (without making the video an hour long haha), I hope you have fun rigging in Live2D ^^
I've learned VBridger once, but needed a recheck and oh my, I wish I'd learned from your video originally, you made an amazing job! Thank you so much! 💖
Thank you so much for the tutorial! You've always been making one that so easy to understand even when it's quite a complicated subject. Again thank youuu
XD I can't believe it but your tutorial hit my feeds at the top when I searched a tutorial after getting vbridger to learn. Literally amazeballs. XD Also 11:10 tutorial, Dragon! Thanks a bunch :3
Great tutorial once again ♥ Thanks for taking some time to help us with these ! I've just started to use blendshapes and I'm realising how much it is a game changer ! I used to be afraid of using them but now I love them. Never tried Vbridger mouths because I didn't get the app yet but I surely follow along this tutorial for my first try ! I love your explanations, quick and really easy to follow !
Ive watched this tutorial so many times before and it's worked wonderfully, but this time, I can't get the mouth funnel blend shape to work with the blend shape weights. I checked literally everything to make sure it was the exact same as yours, at this point i just feel like leaving it as is T-T
Am I understanding this correctly that mouth funnel is used for smth like an "o" sound? Bc I am wondering what the difference would be between making a blend shape like this and just rigging in another mouth form that is e.g. between the neutral and :( stage....
Could i get some help with seperatating the tongue out with the Jaw Open? My model seems to have two parameters in one, when it should be in the other, im abit confused and would love some help
Hello ! I'm trying to build my own avatar, its a wolf I already rigged the mouth eyes and eccetera, but I don't know how to make the head and body turn up and down (y) and actualy how to move them right and left(x), do you have some advice? or do you know some usefull tutorial?
@@CutieDragon Thank you so much you are the best! I'm gonna watch it. I want also thank you for all of your tutorial because they really put all the base! My avatar is coming to life thanks to you
I tried following this tutorial but it kept massacring my mesh. I swear I did everything according to your instructions, I even changed my PSD so that my lip and lip skin parts were one like yours seem to be in this tutorial but no dice. I check how my funnel blend shape interacts with my open and close and everything goes U shaped. Literally. Anyways, just doing the open/close instructions gives me a perfectly serviceable mouth but any ideas as to what's going on?
huh that's a new one, did you make sure to setup limiting the blendshape weight for mouth open? Also when setting up the funnel does the mesh become weird or is it only when it's interacting with another parameter?
@@CutieDragon Yes, I set the blendshape limit for mouth open, just like in your video. I would have to double check but I'm fairly certain it was just for my linked mouth open and form parameters.
@@merryasemily alright hmm so does it look fine when everything is at default by setting funnel to 1? I'm trying to figure out if the mesh is interacting funny with the change in the parameter somehow
@@CutieDragon I would say everything looked good until I checked to see if the weight limit part had limited its movement on the open/form linked params. Like I would finish the funnel, I would check how the funnel looked going from 0 to 1 and 1 to 0 on its param, think "looks pog as hell", and then when I would double check how it looked on the completed mouth open and mouth form params, that's when it would go U shaped when it wasn't meant to (on the full mouth open for example) or the mesh would go weird. I appreciate you trying to help btw, I use your simple mouth rig for all my rigs so far when I saw this one uploaded, I was really looking forward to upping my game somemore
@@merryasemily Super late reply but, I just had an issue with the funnel as well. I did the blendshape weight but the mouth was till funneling despite this. After a few minutes I noticed that the top lip wasn't doing that but the bottom lip was. I had accidentally deselected the lips before messing with the weights and didn't change it for the bottom lip. Once I went in and set that, the mouth funnel worked perfectly. I was also having mesh problems (because mine had way too many points) and everything got messy. I removed a lot of unnessisary points on the mesh and that cleaned up pretty much all of the weird deformations and overlapping points. It's my first time trying to rig a mouth for vbridger so there are bound to be issues here and there but it is interesting seeing how different the mouth is rigged in comparison to vtubestudio tracking.
I have a question about the model you use in this video! Parts of the outfit are transparent/translucent, like the shirt and collar--if I'm using OBS/SLOBS and Vtube Studio together, and I need to use a background in the recording software instead of VS, is there a way to keep the transparency of the clothes, or will it always have a hint of the otherwise invisible bg colour behind it..? I've struggled with this in the past, so any advice would be super helpful. Tysm! (Especially for this in depth mouth tutorial!!)
17:41 I have linked VBridger and everything, but this list of Parameters doesn't have any of the mouth parameters from the tutorial. The only VBridger specific ones I'm seeing are related to body and eyes. Even stranger, the VBridger program itself doesn't have them as outputs either. Do you know why this might be? I don't have the DLC for VBridger if that helps. Thanks in advance if you have ideas.
I followed everything but can't figure out how to work with jaw open, I have a Iphone, I typed in 2.1 output, because mouth open is the same for me, but it doesn't recognize it when I open my mouth xD the bottom teeth just stays close to the top teeth, the chin doesn't move down. what can i doo? 😥 vbridger doesn't move with my face, it's standing blank, is this maybe the problem? it's connected
the face in vbridger isn't moving at all? it may not be connected to your iphone properly! cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1898830/manuals/VBridger_Manual_1.06.pdf?t=1650059011 this is the official guide to setup, just follow the steps and see if that sorts your problem!
Ung i cant do it. I was almost done with my model after teaching myself art and rigging from scratch. I only had the mouth left and now my hands are too shaky to draw or do anything with precision. I tried to commission someone, the one off of fivver made it look worse and the other guy off of vgen wanted, $100 for just the mouth +$75 for vbridger +$15 for commerical use. Man if the day ever comes where live2d can fully autorig a model, id love to see the chaos that ensues
