Wow. Such a fun vid and so many interesting 45s! The Huntingdon Car Boot Sale sounds like the business. They should give you a commission for your glowing reviews of the sale and your pick-ups there! Wishing you a great Spring May Public Holiday weekend.
Hello RM....yes it's generally a good carboot sale and only a short easy drive from my house. To be honest RM there's an awful lot of luck involved and the gods were certainly smiling down on me that day 👍👍👍
26:25 Yes it was Doc Cox. Eons ago when this record came out I was lucky enough to be invited to his party to celebrate this record release. The house was full of punks from Beggars Banquet. Great memory.
Hi Nick. I see you're doing request for your walk on music now👍 Some great singles and lovely vclt from Mike. That Toyah album is a new one on me also. The first 4 Pretenders albums are all worth getting hold of. You'll need a special room for your Cars collection soon 😂
Ben enjoys a good tune Mike though I'm not sure the copyright police appreciate it !!! I'll look into the LP with Toyah on it later today 🤔 Planning permission for a carspark has been sent of to the council for the CARS records 👍😁👍🚘🚘🚘
Some fantastic finds there Nick, the sid vicious album is actually quite rare, and is of historical importance, but unfortunately doesn't sound very good, but give it a clean and play it mate, the sex pistols/ Biggs song was called no one is innocent, ,oh and you got another copy of car's, Lol, great video buddy, keep up the good work, cheers, Dave
Yes NO ONE IS INNOCENT,I fetched it out and played it later on !!! For a couple of quid the SID record had to be worth a punt. CARS.....they mysteriously flock to me for some reason 🤔
Oh yeah!!! Loved that intro of "Guns" Nick 👍Well done on finding Andy Capp. Thanks for the track & shout out mate. I don't know about Boy Wonder though 😂
Yes mate MrPC31 was very kind👍👍👍 I'm totally baffled by the LP with Toyah doing vocals on it,it's probably credited to Robert Fripp and that's why I've know nothing about it 🤔🤔🤔
Cheers sir, thanks for stopping by 👍 I never see soul based records at carboot sales/flea markets except or the odd Motown album and I have loads of them already,it's a shame really.
You did well there Nck. Wish i could get to some car boots but they are in the middle of nowhere. That said I got a bunch of pre-owned stuff yesterday for pretty cheap. That square disc is cool. Closest thig i have to that is a postcard single i bought for a giggle. Great VCLT. I remember Ivor Biggun aka Doc Cock, His songs were toned down for the tv show. May mate copied his fort 3 albums for me.
Hello there....I've seen old postcard records but aint never heard any, they're a bit of a novelty I suppose. Carboot sales are pure luck I suppose, one week there's a load of folk selling vinyl, the next there's bugger all !!!
Hiya Nick, I watched this when you posted it, but was on the road so didn’t get chance to post a comment at the time. I’m really pleased you like the vclt my friend. I found the Toyah/ Fripp in a record shop and immediately thought of you. It was a record I hadn’t seen before, and when I saw Toyah was on it I thought …….Nick’s girl!! I must get it for him. The Pretenders is an excellent album. Again, when I saw Ivor Biggin I immediately thought of you 😂😂 oh er misses 😂 I had to pick up Cars when I saw it…..another one for the car park ( NCP …. Nick’s Car Park). Enjoy my friend! Mike
Nasty on the Young Ones - my first exposure to the Damned. Brilliant. Same with Motorhead actually on Bambi doing Ace of Spades. Alexi Sayle: Round about now I usually have a Pot Noodle, it's a tasty delicious little snack, let's try some shall we?
As far as very naught boys go Mike PC31 is top shelf. Great cover on the Tubeway Army 7'. I haven't got any Lurkers 7"s, but got the first two albums. What an underrated band. I like the silver Polydor labels. I love that Video Nasty episode of the Young Ones 😂 I need one of those spindle tools too. I have a few local independent punk 7"s that need some work. Nice UK Subs. I don't have any Bad Manners, but whatever I hear I always like. What's a good one to start with Nick? Imagine a Gary Numan & The Wankers Of Rock 'n Roll on a Beggars Banquet bill! How many Gary Numan Cars do you have now? 😂Cheers...Ben
If you want to jump straight in at the deep end with Badmanners studio albums, then you may as well start at the beginning with "Ska n' B" and just work your way through their discography etc... "Inner London Violence" is the top tune on thir first album 👍👍👍 I can't divulge the CARS running total because it might be part of a future contest 👍😁👍
