Here we compare the sounds on the most common exhaust brands on the market and see what the difference is in sound and loudness as well as quality. I know this isn’t the most accurate comparison in the world but you get the idea
this would have been great if you did comparisons on vehicles without upgrades cam shafts . I get your still getting different sounds but different camshafts just change to much the sound to much .
I've got the same pacemaker system on my senator with 100 cell cats, can be a bit droney, not much rumble yet, but I'm planning on camming it next so it will be great once done
I just recently fitted the empire 3 inch mandrel bent stainless cats back system to my 2009 ve ssv ute . It cost $1110ish with express post from W/A to NSW & a mate and I fitted it within a hour & 1/2 one arvie. Made heaps better sound then my old xforce cat back 2&1/2 inch system. It bolted together sweet. Had a small hassle with the drivers side tips rubbing on my rear bumper cutouts & had to make up a couple of spacers and solved the problem. If your on a tight budget. Its well worth the $1000 plus postage. It has two hotdogs near the trans instead of the original muffler box and it cackles bigtime when you back off or use sports shift on your auto. Just knock it back a gear or 2 and lightly touch ya throttle and it cackles bigtime. (If you like that sound).... Its now in the shop having a set of xforce headers and cats fitted with a cam and auto/engine remap. I had to cancel the empire headers as my mechanic had already got the xforces in for my job. Cant wait to get it back in a week. I think its gunna give me wood.......💦🐛🥜
@@itsb680 mate I only got my car back last week after some upgrades. I already had the otr fitted and the mentioned cat back exhaust. I got a cam upgrade, new ls7 lifters, H/D pushrods, H/D timing chain guide, new performance oil pump, stainless Xforce headers and high flow cats and a engine/gearbox map/tune ( which is required if its a auto) inc 12 hours labour @ $130 P/H. Total cost was $7000. But he did fit a few extra items for me that I supplied. Like a new starter motor, 2 new nolathane engine mounts and checked my auto trans oil level and condition of it. Mate you should be able to get what you want for $5000-$6000. Im in NSW near Newcastle and used a guy by the name of Coretuned. Highly recommend him. He knows his stuff with VE's & VF's. But a little advice from me. If you want some quick extra torque and performance & you have a auto. Go out and buy a new complete diff centre in the housing or get yours done and upgrade from 2.92 standard auto gears to 3.45 manual gears. Doing that alone gave me more grunt then the camshaft upgrade did. My cam is lumpy as. I struggle to reverse the car into car spaces at the shopping centre. It near gives me whiplash from the lumpy idle (c##t of a thing to reverse)...!!!! I was told to just go up to 3.27's, but im glad i went to the 3.45's. My rpm's are now sitting at 400rpm more then they did with the auto diff and my fuel gauge drops a bit quicker. But the car is a whole different car to drive now. I cant believe how it goes since doing what I did. I got a brand new OEM diff in a sealed GMH crate off ebay for $1950.00 delivered and was piss easy to fit myself. My advice Do a OTR Full Exhaust inc headers A cam And a 3.45 diff or 3.90 if its a manual. & A engine/gearbox tune/& a dyno tune And like me, you will be driving around with permanent erection. 💦🐛🥜
I forgot to mention. I have the 2009 VE SSV ute with the L76 in it and my dyno read was only up from 260kwts to 299kwts. But the diff made the big difference in the torque. I launched it from the traffic lights the other day and it broke traction and lit up on me with no effort at all. Then in the rain. Dont turn off your anti slip/traction control. You will be drifting, every time you squirt it gently. & im only running 245 rubber all the way around it. So that doesn't help for maintaining traction. But I cant say it enough. If you have a auto. Get those 3.45 diff gears. If its not a every day car. Even go the 3.70's for more excitement. Just invest in a petrol station.
@@jaymz775 he does mate. My mate had a drive of my ute and he has the last 2 door commodore & he booked it in a week last monday and collected it the following monday. He got Cory's cam/ported head package for around $6300 & it broke Cory's all time record on the dyno for a 5.7ltr He is taking it back next year to have him fit a harrop blower to it now. He visited me yesterday and the thing was sitting on my driveway idling & was just shaking and rocking severely. Another stoked & happy customer. I cant recommend him enough to people. He is a awesome fair dinkum bloke that can get a ve/vf singing sweet.
IMO To get a true comparison it would have to be the exact same car every time that’s the only way you can compare the sound of different exhaust systems. However this video does give you an insight into how your car may sound with that set up and exhaust system but you can go through endless RU-vid videos listening but it will never sound exactly the same on a device as it would if you were standing next to the car.
I have a VE SSV Special Edition. It has a VCM cold air intake system Dyno tuned with the original cam. Also had the AFM disconnected. What exhaust system would you recommend I get? Don’t want it too loud but a nice sound on idle and when i pull away. Everyone is telling me to get Manta DPE 2.5 inch catback. Also, don’t want it to drone through the inside of the cabin.
Pretty irrelevant comparisons because they have cam. People always forget about that. Exhausts sounds have to be on otherwise dead stock cars or the same car with the same mods for two different exhaust systems otherwise the sounds change drastically with cams.
So cheap setups = less is more... High priced systems on sound and only sound, kills V8 rumble. Small boxes under seats then Straight pipe to the tips sounds great
@@Aidoz_Garage ive got pacey 4 into 1, manta middle muffler and j pipe rears with resonator. Still want it a little loud at full throttle but dont want anymore drone than it already has as its just tolerable now.
Not the brightest video to test systems when they are not tested on the same car or model with the same mods ,just dumb , how can you compare ? Some crammed some not , waste of time 😅😅😅
None of them.I’ll be getting vf ss with a custom exhaust.Shorty 1 3/4 headers high flo cats 2 1/2 inch exhaust max even that is too big.No crackle it will sound like an old school muscle car not like tractor with a hole in the muffler. How can anyone like any of these exhausts
