Where can I order the rectangular barrel shroud shown in this video? I only see the new style ones now without the narrowed neck to body. My Vector CRB GEN 2.1 comes with the new style but I want to convert it to the previous style with the narrow neck as it looks better with the handguard attached.
Probably not legally. If it's the rifle version, it has to be at least 16 inches. If you did make it short, I believe you need to register it as an NFA item and pay a $200 tax. Otherwise the AFT would probably end up shooting your dog
I have a Gen 1, I have wanted to insert a flash light in the area above the barrel shroud as some of the earlier package models came with one already inserted. However, I haven't been able to remove the circular V cap where the light is supposed to fit. Is there an instructional video or illustration for that? Thanks
It kinda works. The circumference of the thread protector is to big so if you take that off it will fit but the front end will have play because the threads alone are to small to fit the front hole of the shroud. Also you’d have to remove the hand gaurd which would reveal that they didn’t instal the bottom rail but that is a part you can special order through kriss USA website. You just have to email and ask about it.
Hello, Took the chance and bought the Enhanced Barrel Shroud. It fits!!! You just have to remove the Thread protector and align the Shroud with the barrel dimple , tighten the screw and you're good to go. Very tight and stable. Looks great also.

how often do you recommend taking the shroud off for cleaning? I also noticed in the instructions I said to lightly oil the barrel which I did not see you do in this video is it better to do that as well?

I heard it weighs close to 2 lbs which would have a significant impact on the overall weight if removed. Also, even though the super v system is a major factor in how the barrel stays relatively level during rapid fire, I have to imagine that taking all of that weight from the front has to have at least some effect.
Rim on a 556 is the same as a 9mm. Double barrel rifle 556 and 9mm. Change battery of bolt from 556 to 9mm then back to 556. Pencil barrels. top feed the 556.
