Is it TRULY 60X power though??? So many times you see a low/med priced optic that "claims" that it's a certain magnification only to find out in testing that it isn't anywhere close to the claimed magnification. I've seen the same thing happen with Spotting scopes as well. Some low/med priced Spotting scopes "claim" 20-60x power zoom only to find out in testing that it barely reaches 35 power.

This one is true 60x the lenses are heavy though

At a 100 yards if you have the magnification all the way up is the target clear that you can see a small circle to shoot at.

Yes it is clear at full magnification. I have had someone tell me they had issues but it was a different model. This one was clear through all magnification levels

@triggersand4X4s not having that issue I would return yours for a refund or warranty exchange you can send to the Utah distribution center as far as lack of other features this is not on par with a 2k comparable featured scope

@@5stargunsandgear Been loving the scope so far except my shots are hitting a bit high and I can't adjust the elevation to go any lower. I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to long range optics, but I'm thinking I should get lower scope rings rather than the ones that came with the scope.

They make 20moa scope mounts that, as the name suggests, basically angle the front of the scope down 20 moa. That’s pretty much the norm to get for any long range scopes.

@@556online I've added a shim to one of the scope rings in the meantime which has helped, but I didn't know about the 20 moa mounts. I just looked them up and it looks like just what I need. Thanks for the advice!

I appreciate your review do you know of anyone who has used one of these on a center fire rifle like 6.5 cm or 7 rem mag? I ordered one to mount on a 6.5 cm for shooting F class.

No it’s pretty clear. It’s better up to 40x then there is minimal distortion

Question i would ask is why on earth shoot at 50 yards with a high powered scope like this wouldn't it not been more interesting to show how well it performed at 100 yards even a low cost 4 x40 scope could do as well at 50 yards

Reason is this gun is setup to locally compete at 60 and when shooting a green monster trying to knock out the x ring every shot a 4 power scope will not cut it for competition period 60 power is a bit over kill but dial it down easy enough. Want to stretch it to 100-200 yards well your set. All depends on your isoline of shooting and what the end shooter feels is practical it’s not a one size fit all solution when it comes to scope selection

Yea I didn't mean there garbage at all, im just flapping my jaws but I like FFP better because at any magnification it's the same and there's no calculating that's why I like it because I never understood it with SFP.

Some people like sfp better because as you zoom in the center dot stays the same so as the bulls eye gets bigger the center dot appears smaller, allowing you to more finely place your point of aim. Now if your shooting so far away and your scope doesn’t have the magnification power to keep up, then ya, ffp can help by allowing your center dot to help cover the target better. It comes down to knowing how far you want to shoot, what the target is and the strength of the scope. For most people shooting within a few hundred yards and a decent scope, sfp is going to be better.

Can you please tell me why so many people choose to shoot long-range with only magnification up to 25x. When you are shooting a mile or more,why wouldnt more magnification help?

Well I shoot higher magnification however it’s a trade off many variable power optics on high magnification have less glass clarity

Uh price??? Quality high magnification scopes are thousands. 4 grand and up is the norm. That’s why 99% of the people looking at this scope are surprised at the price and really wondering if it’s too good to be true. The specs are right up there with some of the best. It’s shock proof, fog proof, rated to handle 338 lapua and like this gentleman is saying, clear lenses even in the upper magnification. I guess for the price it’s worth gambling on. Only time will tell and if someone has some similar higher end scopes it would be nice to see a side by side comparison.

You may gain some more clarity but probably minimal. I may grab a 50x to do a side by side but they are sending me a new congenital to test this month so I may ask for November

For precision bench under 100 yards spf is preferred especially rimfire a growing reticle on ffp can hinder you in a match. With that said for long range sfp would not be my preference so this scope has a narrow niche. Unless you need high magnification requirements and cannot afford a comparable magnification in ffp. So not garbage just not ideal for certain applications. Go check out my video on comparing ffp and sfp scope each have their place and ffp is not always a better scope.

Every F-class and bench rest optics are all second focal plane. Nightforce even makes a second focal plane optic for high power bench rest.

Not for precision shooting it works perfectly 50 100 200 yes I could put it on my 300 pro and use it as well but you apparently are not familiar with high magnification scope use on benches rifles nor the benefits gained
