Brilliant sir, this video makes my day. Just received my T33 with Vector, but the Vector module was supplied as a loose component without any instructions. So this helps, a lot!
good to hear - The T33 is a great little edf - and the Vector although not really needed if you have Intermediate flying skills - is a good little Gyro - good luck with it and thanks for your feedback.
@@kyledupont7711 I find that the The Viper is better than the T33 - both are made by Arrows Hobby - a simple google seach will show where they are for sale , here in the UK you can pick them up almost any good model shop - eBay also have a lot for sale in the UK...
Alo buddy GREAT TO SEE YOU BACK IN THE SADDLE..👍strange how the UK market is different to the rest of the world... Perhaps they think we're such brilliant pilots we don't need stabilisation..... Cheep as chips so that's a plus. Can't wait to see you on the green again.... Stay well Brian 👍👍👍
Thanks Brian - I agree we should have them as the rest of the world does - I think its more - oh well we can shaft the UK buys so if they want one they have to pay us more........Evil laugh for the distributors as they rub hands together ......
@@FlankerTanker hahahahaaha I can hear the vicent price laugh with echo.. (greedy dealers) unfortunately we get shafted every time.. Never mind..... Great to hear you in fine fettle Brian
@@FlankerTanker Very pleased you like the model Martyn. Had to add some balance to your comment. Hope you don't mind. In truth, the lack of gyro in the UK version is more to keep the price lower on an aeroplane that, in the most part, doesn't really need the stabilisation. Same with the T-33 and Viper. Most people are finding that they don't need / want the gyro so we feel the decision was probably justified. It's absolutely not about ripping people off. We're modellers too and very passionate about the products we sell. Rest assured, we'll keep practicing the evil laugh and stroking white cats, just in case!
Mine arrived today and I also grabbed a vector for mine thanks for showing how to set up Martin I’ve saved vid for when I put it together, salute to ya Gaza 🇬🇧
Hi Gazza - Looking forward to seeing a video from you on this Hawk - please do feel free to ask if you have any questions , I will do my best to provide an answer. stay well . Martyn
Thank you - its just that you can buy the Vector Gyro here in the UK as an upgrade but it does not come with any instructions at all !!! - very much an after thought for the UK Distributors...
@@FlankerTanker I did not know what the different colored wire were until the tech at our only hobby shop in Indianapolis with fixed wing RC models explained the wires to me, while rewiring my E-Flite V900 speedster, which was not wired correctly. The white is a signal wire or the lightest colored and must be plugged in correctly. Cheers, Brad in Indianapolis Indiana USA
@@bradfordtownsend9698 that's right Red is Positive power, Black or brown (Dark) is Negative power, and White or Orange (Light) is signal - most RX's will show which row of pins is which on a spectrum RX they have S + - moulded in the plastic case.
Hi Bill - I agree - the only ones I have found that can be are the FMS Reflex V2 Gyros - FMS have a PC programme that will allow you to down load the pre set code for a lot (but not all) of the aircraft they sell/make - this allows you to move a gyro between aircraft types and all you need to do is download the correct code...
HI Gary - assuming you live in the UK - you should find them at any good model shop - or J Perkins directly - I got mine from Inwood Models via the Internet. (they also do them for the Arrows T-33)
Great video. I am putting the vector that is made for the T33 in a small 750mm P51 Mustang I've had for a while. Just want to see if it will work since I can place it in the same orientation as in the T33. If it works it's very affordable stability!
Well. I decided to leave my 750mm P51 retired. I placed the VECTOR stabilizer into my Flightline F18 4s version. So far it is working great through tests. Looking to maiden soon.
Update. I forgot to let you know, but the vector that is for the T33 works great in the Flightline F18! And is now going into an F9 Panther to have some fun! These little gyros are like gold!
Did you figure out how to reverse the vector channels? I have the same problem but with the elevator (aileron is fine). Reversing the servo on the transmitter doesn’t solve it because the vector still goes it’s own way.
@prov418 yes, just make sure that the orientation it's correct. The side with the black square has to be facing down and the side with the servo wires towards the front of the plane .
Your plane keeps saying that as3x mode is on but I thought that was spectrum specific . Although you're using the arrows vector it still says as3x mode and that's. Normal is it ? I'm planning on getting this plane and it says it comes with the vector . I am planning on using a fr sky receiver and bind it to my Radiomaster. Is it the exact same process do you know ?
The sound comes for the TX - and I set it to say AS3X for "Wind Adjustment" and SAFE " for self righting" - other brands use other terms but they all do the same thing Vector, Reflex, etc.... so I stick with calling them AS3X and SAFE - I do not use fr sky or Radiomaster - I only use Spektrum equipment, but I would think as Arrows use an external gyro (the Vector) the set up is the same for any RX/TX.. I use Spektrum 100% these days as some of the RX models contain and inbuilt Gyro system (SAFE & AS3X), I am also a fan of the Wireless RX -Such as the AR410, 620,630(from 630 upwards they all come with built in gyro)...
Good Question - I do not know - Arrows Hobby say they have different settings - fellow RC flyers say they are the same, my RC shop says - Arrows sell them in different (Hawk or T33) packs so its up to you...
@@FlankerTanker thanks for your reply. I've just brought a 50mm hawk it comes this week from inwood rc . I'm in the UK. Cant wait to fly it . Waiting for better weather. Looking forward to seeing your more of your great videos. Take care buddy ✈
Assign a 3-position switch to channel 5. Plug the "Bus" wire into your receiver channel 5. Also if you just want to use a 1-wire serial connection to your receiver (S-bus - on the Bus Input wire to the Vector) you should know that these Chinese stabilizers need channel order AETR NOT TAER.
Thanks - the short answer is I do not know - and that they are sold separately for each of the aircraft type - such as the T33 / Hawk - HOWEVER - I have been told by at least three people that they have used these in other aircraft such as an Mustang/Corsair and they have worked fine - but I have NO experience of this myself... what I would say - is that the Viper does not need one - It is rock solid and stable without one...
Brill set up video, however, I'm searching for info on how to boot the model ,at the airfield, prior to launch. I have the Bigfoot, when it's sat on all wheels, the nose is very high, or should the tail be raised and supported, so that the model is level? I hope the Vector will assist my early flights, but i can't find anyone who explains the actual start up proceedure.
The vector units do not need any special Boot - unlike some such as ORX Gyros that need you to hold the aircraft level - the vector units do not need it - they are pre-programmed for each aircraft type - for example - I have a Arrows Husky - it came with a vector unit installed - apart from connecting it to the RX - there is nothing else to do - this video was made as the Connections for the 50mm EDF jets T33 and Hawk vectors are NOT the same as a standard Vector unit - FYI - the Vector unit is the same type of Gyro as the FMS Reflex unit, these also do not need any special boot.(as in they do not need the aircraft to be held level)...
@@philiphitchen7294 I really do not suggest that you use this to lean to fly - a nice high wing prop tail dragger such as the Super EZ or pusher like the Bixler 2 would be much better - to learn on and gain experience - good luck anyway...
That may indeed be the case but they do say that they are aircraft specific - as in one specifically for the Hawk, one type for T33 and none for Viper ??
