@SpoonsVXRD Because the BTCC Vectra isn't a road chassis. I like the VXR a lot, but you can't really compare the race setup to the road setup. It's got a wider track, thicker ARBs, coilover suspension, completely different wheel geometry, lots of weight reduction, a large splitter on the front giving extra downforce.
if you want a vectra that handles well you don't want a fast one, I can vouch for the handling on the ~100hp models its surprisingly good for a large car.
you been watching Jeremy Clarkson slag off a vauxhall, not surprised. I own one and they handle brilliantly. You dont just put your foot down in a corner with TC off like in the episode
@@asifnoaman8978 7 year old comment lol, I had a base model 2.0dti and it handed like a barge. I have 1.9cdti now on Irmscher suspension and it does handle well 😊
@@DystopianBeats 300hp front wheel drive never handles like a rearwheel drive... you cannot force it out of a corner :D I love my 2.8t a machine on the highway and fast af, but living in a winter country you gotta be abit careful when taking corners at speed :D
@SpoonsVXRD Clarkson was also testing an earlier version which had a different poundage spring rates and less power iirc. Also the VXR in the BTCC is NOT a 2.8 V6 Turbo, it's a highly tuned 2.0 engine, so the front end is that much lighter still. The 'VXR' is just a branding in this situation.
