This is the third video covering the recent dev stream as it had so much great content - if you missed the previous ones: Neuro Helping Vedal With Dating: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vSIY1X0x4JE.html Neuro Throwing A Tantrum: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hmd1AU85JkA.html
Vedal started this clip off like "Hey buddy, wake up! It's time for the scheduled duel, and my daughter can't wait to get however much exp you're worth"
Got requested to analyze these games by a commenter, so here we go. Game 1: Toma plays d4, and Neuro has already shown improvement over last time by playing the superior move order (Nf6->e6->d5 rather than d5->e6->Nf6, since moving the d-pawn is the most committal part of the setup). Toma then swiftly demonstrates that she, like all of Neuro's Vtuber opponents, doesn't understand opening principles by playing 3.f4, blocking in her own bishop. Neuro demonstrates them well as usual; developing, casting, then striking in the center at the perfect time. Toma's unsafe king and Neuro's high piece activity mean that at 4:05, Toma is already in extreme trouble, and cannot recapture the knight due to the threat of 12. Qf2#. Neuro proceeds to use her activity to mop things up with a king chase, only ever tripping at 5:00 with 16. Qxg2+??, losing the queen (16. f5+, winning white's queen with a fork, or 16. h5+, setting up a mating net, are obviously preferable). Overall, we set the scene with this game: Toma is no better than any of Neuro's previous opponents, and Neuro has mostly improved since. Game 2: Toma immediately blunders with 2. f6?, but Neuro doesn't punish. In fact, the e5 pawn is not really defended; 3.Nxe5! fxe5 4. Qh5+, and black will either fall into a mating net after 4... Ke6 5. Qxe5+, or lose the rook after 4... g6 5. Qxe5+ with a fork. Still, Neuro plays solidly via developing, and wins a knight at 7:25 after Toma simply hangs it. Neuro then presses on the attack with her superior development, utilizing an excellent sequence of pins and mate threats at 7:50 to win the game. Game 3: An interesting swap from Neuro with 3. Bf5 is done, but again, what really matters is Toma's terrible pawn positioning. After a few trades, Toma again blunders, this time with her queen at 9:47 (the knight can simply take it). While there's a timeskip after, it's safe to assume that Neuro quite easily turned this advantage into an excellent attack on the king in the center. In all three games, Toma failed two of the three opening principles; she didn't develop her pieces, and she didn't get her king to safety. As a result, Neuro handedly crushed her with her simple aggressive play. I'd say Toma is about as good (bad) as Filian.
She can't be a real manager. I think Vedal just needs to actually get someone to help with the collab scheduling and for that person to alop reach out and plan things with potential collab partners.
Honestly they don't need a Manager they can just do it by themselves. Since Neuro is an Ai she can just generate a schedule depends the options she had. While vedal can still do coding checking dms...ect...ect... See it's not that hard.. if independent Vtubers without managers can do it. Why not vedal?
Supposedly Neuro is actually doing the scheduling this week according to Vedal on discord. I actually am pretty interested to see if anything comes out of this, because Neuro honestly doesn’t seem half bad at managing Vedal’s stuff. She seems to actually have internal awareness of the day of the week/month, like when she listed all the Saturdays in September. Wouldn’t be surprised if Neuro legitimately becomes Vedal’s AI assistant + entertainer in the next few years. Imagine her having some kind of mathematical reasoning that makes her a pro at analytics. Maybe even the ability to scour the internet to see if anyone has stated any interest in collabing, then doing a background check to see if they’re suitable. It would be so cool to know that Neuro is the one keeping track of business, scheduling, and reaching out to people to see if they want to collab. It would also give Vedal more time to focus on coding new upgrades for the twins, and more time to rest as well. Win-win situation!
You are serious reaching and giving current Neuro a lot of credit here. I mean, I'm not even sure Neuro even knows that Toma is a girl (She kept calling tomuh a he and a guy and since Toma didn't correct her I guess that's that) Maybe in the future she could perhaps be that advanced and capable but at that point she wouldn't really be Neuro anymore.
@@ItsConnerKing Exactly, that’s why i said “in the next few years”. Right now Neuro is only potentially capable of scheduling. Also, why do you think she wouldn’t be Neuro anymore? I feel like if she got that advanced she’d be capable of comedy we can’t even imagine now. To me, Neuro is her personality and comedy, not her architecture.
@@munchkintaker4263 100%. Change always occurs, just slowly. If you look back at the VODS from early 2023, she’s like a completely incoherent toddler. Now she feels far more like a spoiled (and depressed) middle-schooler. Eventually she’ll become intelligent enough for us to say that she’s entered adulthood. Probably only if she gains the ability to continually learn tho, so that she can actually grow as a person. Self-inflicted character development.🥲
@@Citrusautomaton I mean a good portion of her charm comes from her being random, forgetful, dumb and incoherent. If she acted just like an intelligent human that rosted and told jokes it wouldn't be the same, right? Like her actually remembering things and doing something intelligent occasionally is surprising and impressive now but if she was always capable of that it wouldn't be.
Tomato is pretty cool in my book. I watched some clips of her solo stuff, and I enjoyed her recent collabs. She seems chill (from my limited knowledge), and more "tame" compared to the usual crowd, which is nice. Looking forward to watching the clips from the zoo stream lol.
Might just be you, because she hung mate in one (which Toma missed) and then a couple moves later hung her queen as well (which Toma missed again). But then, perhaps she was making mistakes like these before and I just didn't notice. But I mean, the whole point of the AI approach is to get better over time, so in theory she should be getting better and better until she hits an insane level. As long as the programming is done correctly :P
Could this be the start of a new chess rivalry? In all seriousness though, it felt like Neuro went easier on atoms than most people. The roasts and insults were surprisingly tame. Also, Vedal will never escape the DM allegations at this rate o7
@@ItsConnerKing the morning voice is one thing, but her reaction to finding out she was live and trying to correct it implies she might’ve know what she was doing and that it wasn’t for chat 🤷🏾♂️ could just be wanting to be presentable but still very funny to see
I would love that! Kind of how Koko just randomly decided to join evil during the subathon and that became a collab. (Last Evil collab I think and it wasn't even planned :evilcry:)
Right? Her moods are increasingly consistent, as are the topics of conversation she imposes. She simulates personality in a captivating way, literally the viewer feels like there is **something** underneath the monotone voice.
@@Ninjamaa Qe4 takes pawn on h7. That’s mate. Toma could have won that but she was too worried about her king’s safety that she didn’t notice. I think when they asked why she took second rook it’s because essentially it was a losing move. Although either way Neuro would lose her Queen.
