@@F34RDSoldier805 Might work on it a lot during the subbathon. He'll need something to keep the audience entertained. I'm not super familiar with how most Vtubers handle sleep during these unending streams, do they call in friends to run their stream or do they play old VODs? I'm genuinely not sure.
everyone is deserving of their nominations, but Vedal literally coded his own daughter into existence for his stream. that's just next level in terms of VTuber Tech
I agree. I half expected her to burst into flames as a result of not using the energy she builds up from being so static. Seriously though she did well.
@@cye2310 I've been in the hotseat of many an AI topic based debates. And a grand majority of the time, the conclusion comes down to it being the other way around. By simply existing, the hate shall exist, and a lot of them are from very worried artists, be it physical art, writing, music, etc, that believe they will be replaced. As a musician myself, you can never replace the one thing AI cant replicate. Emotion. That being said, i personally find it fascinating that AI can now create things like original music that could legitimately be on the charts.
@@codysmith66 I'd say only visual artists need to be worried (and definitely graphic designers). AI writing is funny and novel, but since it's generated piecemeal it's not going to be able to replace most books since the plot will most likely meander into silly things. Meanwhile, music can create a pretty melody, but it can only show emotion, not express it. While paintings and pictures *do* have meaning, most people like the simple appeal of a pretty picture, which is what the AI is good at.
@Videokirby Yeah it's usually the visual artists that send the heat. Often in regards to the pieces produced by AI are emotionless, as they prefer pieces that have human emotion poured into them. But like you said, majority of the people don't care, and those that do honestly would never know unless they were told. Art is subjective. If it elicits an emotion from its viewer, I believe that is all that matters, not who or how it was made.
I think the main difference is that Neuro isn't replacing anything. She is popular BECAUSE she's AI, she provides a form of entertainment that simply would not exist without AI, so it is impossible to effectively argue against her. There are still some people who just hate AI in general ofc but I think those people are extremely dumb because forms of AI have existed for ages and not been an issue. AI itself isn't the problem, it's how it is used
He is the most popular vtuber currently, that said he is also the most tech-savy vtuber, dude is an full blown AI programmer after all. Easy dab for Coldfish987
I mean it was a pure popularity contest for most other categories. Probably the only reason Chibidoki won the "Funniest Vtuber" was because there was no Hololive Vtuber nominated.
I'm so proud of Vedal He deserves his popularity and the place where he's at. It seems that he have freaking 48 hours in a single day and he's like a robot himself. He is coming up with something new and mindblowing every time. I'm still shocked after the duo karaoke streams, Evil's ASMR and so much more. Even with that said he's still has time to play games with Vtubers, hang out with irl friends and work on the Abandoned Archive Vedal, I genuinely love you and all of your creations. Even when something was going wrong. Even after the DM donowalls. We still love you. I think the Harrison Temple too.
Assrapingly well done, tutel. Remember, 'vettle' very explicitly & very aggressively did NOT want to be a streamer, especially a vtuber. The whole point of upgrading neuro from OSU! bot to vtuber was so he could use her to stream without ever having to do it himself. Glad his plants failed and we got this instead.
All of that because one day he decided "let's teach her how to play among us and stream coding it", but the outcome was that he became a vtuber, instead of teaching neuro playing among us with others.
Honorary mentions to Asahi Lina, the dev that brought Linux to the newer MacBooks (Asahi Linux) and found critical errors on macOS, and to Luna (LunaFoxGirl), the maintainer of Inochi2D, an open source alternative to Live2D
winner of the best tech vtuber using an AI to write his speech is the most tech vtuber thing he could've possibly done in that situation lmao long lib VEEdel
Yeah there was just zero chance of anyone aside from Vedal or CodeMiko winning that award. Those two are just in leagues of their own regarding tech. Still great tho.
CodeMiko is working on AI, but it is more ready-to-go chatgpt with a prompt, while Vedal most likely uses a finetuned custom model with different adjacent tech like advanced memory, still kind of mystery. Plus, developing Neuro and applying AI to vtubing per se is conceptually much closer to vtuber sphere than developing a game. I think that Vedal, with how complicated his work is and with the fact that it applies to vtubers directly, is a few steps closer to being a tech vtuber than CodeMiko and many steps closer than everyone else.
@@AC-zv3fx I honestly think they're on different tracks entirely. Vedal is specialized in AI chatbot, TTS, twitch extension and game bots, while CodeMiko is specialized in Unity and motion capture, which other two nominees are also nominated for (Mel didn't develop her setup herself so I guess it's credit to whichever studio responsible. Digitrevx made the original one she bought iirc). If you ask Vedal, he would say that Unity development is harder than AI chatbot development. But in my opinion Neuro-sama is an original creation that creates such phenomena that Vedal has to win without dispute. IMO both deserve equal the recognition especially since they are both self-taught engineers.
@@Shizs from what I remember from another comment zentraya is a big force in making vtube stuff more accessible, and wasn't her streams that made zen nominated one of the things was making tracking solutions better so you didn't need to shell out massive sums of cash to get good tracking. but being honest, I'm the wrong person who barely knows what zen has done
Zen is the text to speech progam, and Melody is the tracking device.. Not gonna lie Noctapus or Motherv3 had better tech and text to speech voice than Zen but yeah she's more famous so that's why she's nominated..
@@MisterFath Some of the nominees don't make a whole lot of sense, and it wasn't very well researched. Anny (misspelled as Annie) was nominated for best Art, she'd done like one or two art streams in the entire year. I hope that Filian gets some help with the nominees next year. I could be wrong, but Filian picked all of them?
Seeing as how vedal has been doing and what vedal has done like making neuro-sama, and making the most entertaining AI stream of all time (currently), and if he keeps the pace up, I think vedal will win every year to be honest, also props to codemiko too man, she's also making some insane innovative things in technology in streaming, i hope the two would collab more in the future.
@@dentangaji6161codemiko has some impressive facial recognition/replication tech so I can see why she was nominated. The others I think were nominated mainly for their cyborg and computer virus aesthetic concepts rather than actual tech they use.
I'm so proud of him. He's a hard worker and has done so much to embrace his audience and upgrade Neuro in exciting and sometimes risky ways that have clearly paid off. Lots of AI right now is abused and scummy especially in the art world and he still supports manual riggers, avatar creators and 2d artists so lovingly. Glad we have him.
Vedal deserves that award, he has worked so hard for his silly AI's and its been a blast watching them improve as well seeing how he makes his content unique
