I personally love the hybrid holsters. 100 percent kydex is uncomfortable and pokey IWB, and 100 percent leather loses its shape too easily. This combination is perfect.
I have a duffle bag full of holsters from my journey trying to find the most comfortable, while concealable (not an easy task as a female dressing for Florida summers), and I've landed with Vedder as my top choice. Have both IWB (same as the one you just reviewed) and OWB and love them both. Great review Kim!
Great review as always guys! It's kind of a ritual with gun owners to find just the right holster. Your conceal-ability holster comparison demonstration really hits home. (I know that I have a box or two of misfit holsters in my closet...LOL)
Love my comfort tuck holster. Only comfortable IWB I've found for my CZ 75 sp-01, because it's a big heavy gun many don't conceal (so not many choices). I'm 6'5, 250...so the size doesn't bother me at all even after a long day (I am the weirdo who insists on using the same gun for my duty pistol, nightstand pistol, and conceal carry off duty). But I love it. Couldn't recommend them enough. My wife uses the vedder rapid tuck for her glock 26.
I have been using the comfort tuck for my CZ P07 and really like it. I did have to put a hole where the mag release is because it would press against the leather and release the mag. No problems after I did that.
That sweat guard u mentioned that protects the back of the gun from sweat I think is the best because not only does it protect from sweat it also keeps that annoying back part of your gun jamming into your soul as u sit

Looks a lot like my crossbreed supertuck. What i like best about this type of system is you can adjust the cant so the grip isn't poking out away from the body (hey, glad to see ya!). You can adjust it so the grip lays flat, even if it's carry or full size. Believe it or not, there are people who CC m17, g17, m&p 9, and even full size .45 1911's and hardly anyone else can tell.
I just got a comfort tuck holster from Vedder it is comfortable to carry my sigx365 but i hate the Holster , the gun is so tight in the holster i cant even draw the gun . I am a vet and have been for some time
Unfortunately, may holster manufacturers limit their holster designs to Glock, S&W and Sig firearms models leaving those of us who prefer other models with little or no options. Some companies are slowly catching up but, currently, models with optics cutouts are limited, too.
Nice review. The Hidden Hybrid was a fail for IWB with my P320 X-Carry RXP Pro...just would not let the red dot sight into the housing while wearing it. Looking forward to the Vedder actually working.
The downside to this design is weapon retention. It's inconsistent at best and totally dependent on your body's pressure against the leather. In a dynamic situation, like entangled grappling, that pressure will change, especially when you "go to ground." What is better is to have the Kydex fully enclose the gun and attach that to the leather.
VersaCarry Holsters has holsters that uses both kydex and leather. The kydex is sown into the leather to make the holster more rigid, so re-holstering will always be easy, I think it has retention adjustment too. I don't use their holsters since they really don't offer left handed people any options. I think they have one holster that is for left handed shooters, but the one I have seen is a pretty basic holster.
@@charleswatson2312Hidden Hybrid makes a double-clip one that is kydex over suede, but the retention is adjustable. I have one, and it is a beautiful holster but both the leather and the kydex are much thicker than my Vedder hybrids. It’s bulky. I love Vedder, but their hybrids (in my experience) have lost retention over time, although the leather molds to your body and is really comfortable. I’ve gravitated to vedder’s light tuck for size and simplify, or their newer pro tuck which is an adjustable kydex clamshell attached to two leather wings where the clips are mounted. It really holds the grip in and molds to your body, but you still have kydex up against your skin (it’s hot here in Naples).
Went to the site and they only offered light mounted options for the Glock pistols, it's a hard pass for me. For those of us that own pistols with optics and lights beyond our Glocks it looks like our options are limited to custom holsters. Thanks for the intel.
Thanks for another great video. I also carry the p365 XL either in a Tulster kydex IWB or a sneaky Pete. I’m going to buy the S&W M&P shield plus TOMORROW so I’ll need another holster. Definitely something to consider
I have a couple of the Vedder Lighttuck holsters. While I love the holsters quality and adjustability I hate the fact that the metal clips rip holes in all my shirts.
I like the prodos M from black Arch. The Kydex wraps around the trigger and you get the best of both worlds with it being hybrid. The quality is top-notch and some of the best in the industry. I've owned several now and will not buy another hybrid
My Crossbreed hybrid holster comes off the belt when i draw. I thought it was me, but another crossbreed user of the same holster had the same problem. Recommendations. Thank you for sharing and be safe.
Ok, when you demonstrated that holster up against your body at the 4 o’clock position, you actually showed how drawing quickly from that clothing configuration and position on your body is DEADLY S L O W. Your gun was positioned in a way with two layers of tight clothing, that it will take to long to quick-draw when you need it “yesterday.” That’s another reason why I don’t like that Vedder model holster. This is also why IWB APPENDIX holsters are king for concealment, ease of access to the weapon and withdrawal speed. Vedder makes the “light tuck” model for this purpose and ability, and it’s the fastest method of drawing one’s weapon from concealment.
If you really knew what you were talking about, you would know there are pros and cons of any concealment position, and it also varies with the physical makeup, capabilities, training, and priorities of the individual. People that spout one best answer for everyone are not credible or helpful.

Good video, but…. I have two comfort tuck holsters for two different guns. That holster sucks!!! It’s too big of a platform up against one’s body. Don’t get me wrong, Vedder is the best holster… just NOT the comfort tuck.
