That just might be the extent of their strat. I remember coach lyrick being able to figure out their draft flow way back when he made content. If a solo content creator with no backup analysts can do it, imagine what a coach/analyst with plenty of resources can do. Bren really got them figured out, I guess.
Because ApBren already knows how to counter Echo's strat and can counter Echo's aggressive rotation and team fights that's why if ApBren controls the map Echo will have a hard time, micro wise Echo also wins because they always find a way to get equal trade in team fights even if they are behind from Bren but Bren early aggression is too strong and also top tier draft favored Bren that's why they won the match
I do not know if playing tank junglers is the most comfortable route for Echo, but assuming it is, the team played with their most comfortable heros, so win or lose, they did it with their best heros like what the coach from singapore said. Regardless of the results, aim higher next time and keep the Echo express going!
echo's always like this. It takes them way too long to adapt to a new meta. When Karltzy finally adapted to the tank meta, they went on to become world champions and now a new patch drops two weeks before MSC and they're back to their old habits again. Those drafts against APBren were atrocious
People keeps blaming the coach but coaches have to compromise in order to match the pool of the players and the best posible picks. A perfect draft is nothing if the players couldn't execute it. Karltzy was the best assassin user. Keyword, *was*
Karltzy already answered this in his stream before if management would say that he needs to play assassin then he will and would just need to spam those heroes. It could be their game rotation is not right for it. Before coming to Team Echo, Karl was still hellbent in using assassin and even in Season 9 when it was already utility Jungler meta so their manager scolded him and have him played the Utility Jungler. He’s now a team player and very unlikely that he will not follow what the Coach says. They need to adjust their game style if Karl has to play assassin. Hope they can adjust before the Snapdragon. Also, the other team drafted smartly having Julian as flex and play as mid. I was also a bit disappointed because I thought Liquid Echo has some surprise hero pick but it is what it is. Nt and GG!!!
Other than that, during the game against APBREN we rarely see Sanford using damage type explaner like benetta, paquito or lapu. He used sustain and tb type explaner like Terizla and arlott which doesnt suits well with tank jungler. He only use paquito first game and lost, the third game with yu zhong and win. He should have just used damage targeting backline based explaner if ECHO draft insistes on playing tank utility jungler.

Thats where karltzys confidence gap is at. He's using utility jungle because his teamates cannot keep up with the damage output that Bren can produce in such a short amount of time.Even if he likes going for assasin and secure kills and objectives, in the long run their towers will definitely wittle down because kyle can definitely kill any heroes they have 1v1. Sanford is good but against someone his level, it's 50-50 He's on always aggressive side and its good but marco can already anticipate it thus he arrives faster than benny during these objective clash where their lanes are on the opposite side of the map.Then benny, it's not his positioning that makes him very strong it's his ability to completely release a burst damage in an instant but in terms of positioning he's a level below marco and so is marco in completely bursting his opponent, he's more like kiter than a burster. In terms of midlaners I think sanji is a level ahead of pheww but in team fight, pheww opts for a poke damage rather than a clash damage because he knew that kyle can one shot anyone as an assasin if he can wittle them low enough as karltzy was forced to play as a utility jungler. The new emblems and items also gives a much more advantage as an assasin jungler than a utility jungler. Sanji likes to fight agressive in a fight. Mostly 3 combo shot to eliminate marco or pheww but his style of being a mage is completely countered by Master Owgwen. Owgwen is really good at reading on when an enemy decides to instantaneously remove a player in the map and will not hesitate to use his arsenal even if he knows the enemy might bluff because even if he missed, flaptzy always compliments his mistakes as well as owgwen for flap. As for jaypee, thats5where it contradicts the playstyle of echo. Jaypee tends to think more of how to save his teammates and make a one definite play. His play is more of a wiped set or game ending set like what chaknu is. He's really good at reading assasins but he's limited by Karl's utility. I think that if jaypee is a bitore aggressive in his playstyle, they could've caught flap and owgwen most of the time because they're the only two in bren that can actually slip up. But i dunno tho, that's just what I was during their fights. And also when they beat bren in Ph finals, it's because the synergy of phew and owgwen was too focused that his synergy with flap just became no existent.
they lost because their draft is predictable, they always open Julian for no reason and couldn't adapt to FCAP's hero draft picks and playstyle. Sad that they lost against FCAP (since they are my pickem) but happy that a PH team is in the finals!

Kyletzy really not buying fully to the utility jg meta seasons before really helped innovate apbren this msc. So much flexibility from their draft (esp the mid julian gamble)
If you don't fight for what you want then it doesn't make any sense if you are sad or disappointed like this just swallow the raw truth and prepare for the next no need for sadness
Now no more tank meta in tournament, because farm too slow + no damage to let opponent aware of u except ur gold or mage good until can carry damage (dps, but still lower meta than fighter / assassin jungler now
So apparently, Echo is under the Semis curse whenever MSC comes up ☠️ ONIC ID 3 - 0'd them in MSC 2023 in the semis Now, APBR ALMOST did the same treatment against Echo/TLPH, 3 - 1 in the semis. Next year...HOPEFULLY they do NOT go through such a curse again, but APBR outdrafted them as usual, APBR read them like a book. So yeah, it was bound TLPH was going to get clapped badly in this match. Not discrediting APBR, but yeah, TLPH might have gone a bit hasty this match too.
As much as I want to defend Karl, after seeing him not adapt to the meta for that 1M USD grand prize, I lost all my trust in him. I believed in them until the last game but, not expecting much from TLPH unless Karl starts spamming assassins again.

Masyado nang paulit-ulit draft ng TLPH eh. Unlike sa APBREN na first pick nila mind game na, example is yung Julian at Roger pwedeng gawin gold lane or mid lane and pwede rin e jungle kaya nakakalito talaga.
Blame the drafters and coaching staff for not picking assassin jungle for karl and prior early picks pharsa even tho mino and julian is still open. Not the players. Toxic comment section.
ECHO draft against APBREN this MSC just like ONIC draft against APBREN during last M5. Why they picked sustain explaner when they want to use utility jungler. It will never work on APBREN. They should just go for Damage type explaner like what they did in first game, third game and also during final MPL PH to give APBREN the hard time. Its also Sanford comfort pick and can make him combo well with Sanji.
coaching is looking ur team excel skill where they are comfortable and can handle a hero in bad situation. but pushing them to use a hero which they are not familiar is putting the team on risk of losing. and most of all their weaknesses. As coach you should know that then came out with plan to make the whole team work as one. I used to play World of Warcraft and i used Death Knight my job is to eliminate any healer on second option i will assist DPS
How can you play Assassin if your POS 5 don't know how to play Frontline heroes? Mino is his only Frontline hero and compare it on HOW Owgwen uses Mino.

Ap bren won in games where they won in the draft which almost always had minotaur, even jaypee won when he got it. AP bren got very lucky in game 1, they got all the good picks. Ling is a no brainer, i dont know how that got through echo, he almost always gets ahead, after first turtle no matter how good the tank jungler user is. It had good damage, good cc and lots of it, they could engage back off and reengage and finish or just go all out unpunsihed, like 4 out of the 5 heroes have airborne cc, all three of the damage dealers have mobility. The flickers from julian terizla and minotaur was probably a pain to keep track and even then minotaur could counter engage or fend off anyone guaranteeing a kill for the team.
Idk about high micro assassins but why didn't they pick julian when it was open i am pretty sure karl can play julian or even sanji why 2nd pick pharsa

Bai na bai e, nag tatank core pa din kahit meta na ulit assassins. Coach at fault, dapat hindi ganyan drafting sa jungle para kay Karl kahit sa scrims.
karltzy needs to adapt or retire....its been a while....he used akai last year vs onic ID and yesterday....he had two heores this patch...baxia and akai only.
Manood ka kasi ng mga updates para alam mo. Kinuha na nila si Coach Ceejay as their coach analyst and drafter. Nung MPL, ndi official si Coach Cjay kaya tulungan sila magdraft ni Karl. Not saying this is Coach’s fault. No one’s fault. FCAP just drafted better and played better. GG!!
matagal na problema ng echo ang coach nila. dapat kasi palitan na si tictac. every big tournament walang nag babago sa play style nila kaya sila nasasabayan ng ibang team. si tictac ang head coach sya sana mag plano kung ano mga gagawin 😅 mukhang ndi nag prepare eh masyadong friendly sa ibang teams nakalimutan yata yong mga players nya nahihirapan sa style nya
Honestly the draw was unfair.. These 2 should meet in final but i guess they want to save the viewership since id teams eliminated and Indonesian viewers are important.. No one want to watch ph vs ph finals
