So helpful and inspiring! Makes me want to paint my whole house white too for the healthy vibe yours gives off- plants, vibrant food, and white walls 🙂
I'm going to start on my plant base today. not properly planted but that's okay. I am a single mother of 3 beautiful children and want to be a good example for myself and for them. you inspire me enormously and follow your blogs and Instagram.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing your table filled with healthy goodness! Thank you for the explanations on vitamin amounts, nuts, seeds... When I see your video notification, as well as "Plantiful Kiki", "Yeung man cooking"... I am in Heaven!
Yes! People really do try to act like nutritionist when you go vegan! I'm currently vegitarian, I have been slowly eliminating products, cheese is what is left to be fully vegan. Love you guy's, your a great inspiration. May god bless you greatly.
Love the new video!! Thanks for sharing such great info. Also, as a fellow Nebraskan, the irony of how gloomy it is in Omaha today made me smile when you were discussing vitamin D. Happy Saturday 💗
I love these kinds of videos. It’s cool to learn that you can get so much nutrition in such simple foods. You guys also got me to try Miami Fruit and I’m super excited for my first order lol.
The four forms (vitamers) of B12 are all deeply red colored crystals and water solutions, due to the color of the cobalt-corrin complex. Cyanocobalamin is one such form, i.e. "vitamer", of B12 because it can be metabolized in the body to an active coenzyme form.
I just placed an order for a grocery store pickup but watching your video I realized I forgot potatoes and cauliflower. Ordering fresh through my app is not always successful or productive but I do order the mainstays this way. I also order frozen "stir fry" blends and frozen fruit through my online app. I do shop in store sometimes but I'm still cautious in this covid time, even though I'm fully vaccinated. I'm trying to get and stay healthy in all ways. Thanks for your video. It is helpful to hear information in a new, colorful way. Love all of your veggies and fruits.
Great video, colorful, informative! You two make a great team, nice chemistry. Your baby-to-be is getting excellent nutrition and will probably be the healthiest baby for miles!
Actually this video is essencial for everybody, no matter what diet they follow. Very well explained. Thanks for your work and for sharing your knowledge and experience ☺️ 😊
This was great and so informative ! I was feeling bored with my diet lately and feeling my self slipping back to vegan junk food but after watching your video Im feeling more inspired to get back to the wfpb way of eating especially after seeing all the beautiful plant foods together there so pretty when grouped together .
So funny that some meat-eaters all of a sudden become professional nutritionists when they hear you’re vegan, as if those choosing a plant-based diet didn’t do their own research first, aren’t watching videos like yours or educating themselves in other ways. I’m no longer strictly vegan, but when I initially went back to eating meat and a little dairy, I fell right back into old patterns and habits and gained weight, felt sluggish all the time and all around just stopped paying attention to what I was putting in my body. Getting back to mostly a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, not because I don’t ever want to eat meat again (trying to follow the philosophy of Intuitive Eating), but when I don’t have the quick filling protein that is meat in my meal, I’m much more intentional about what I’m including because I want to feel full and satisfied. Plant-based lifestyles are so much more focused on intentionality of health, it just kills me when those who’ve never tried it (minus the gym rats who count their macros and do pay close attention to their health) suddenly think they’re experts lol
Excellent content! 👏 This is exactly the kind of video I needed. I would love to see how you guys implement all of these types of foods in a “What I Eat in a Day” type of video. Let me know if there’s one out there already. 😊
Love your channel and love the bundle! Super excited to try it out! I forgot to mention if you are interested in organic food packaged in eco friendly packaging, highly recommend Azure Standard. They also do sell produce if interested and they are always helpful and looking for new ideas on products and sustainability.
Hi Dusty and Erin. Hope you guys are well. Y'all look great and congratulations on baby #2. I went on your first retreat to Costa Rica. I'm still working on diet and lifestyle changes. Dusty, did you completely resolve your acid reflux with wfpb diet? I'm struggling with this.
I would love to see a video combining a haul and what we eat in a week to see how it is utilized. When I shop clean, I end up wasting so much of what I get.
Check out Jordan Page's Shelf Cooking youtube video. If you plan your meals for the week based on food you already own then go shopping for a few missing ingredients 1) Your shopping bill will decrease and 2) you will waste less food bc everything has a plan to be used that week.
Loved this video! It’s very informative and you mass vegan food look so good! We eat a lot of bananas and I’m thinking we’ll get a box too! Beautiful family! Xoxo 😘
I really enjoy these food haul videos! Would love to see a Costco haul!! Do you shop at Costco..? They have certainly stepped up their organic and vegan friendly game in recent years, at least here in California. It's nice to see! Happy Mother's Day Erin!! =)
I appreciate how you go in depth about all the nutrients found in whole foods vs. supplementation. I am not a proponent of a vegan diet, however I do believe in whole food sources of all necessary nutrients and had two questions. First, I understand it is very possible to get a good amount of protein from WFPB sources however I have read and heard that Leucine is a crucial amino acid that is usually lacking in WFPB protein sources, Leucine supposedly triggers muscle protein synthesis. Do you mix corn with your protein sources to ensure you're getting the right amino acid profile for optimal muscle protein synthesis? Secondly I noticed you mentioned vitamin supplementation along with going out in the sun and wondered if you also supplement with mushrooms, specifically those that have been left out in the sun prior to being picked and packaged?
Hi guys! Just started watching your channel. Thank you for this video. I have slowly been switching my diet to mostly plant based. I am currently pregnant with my first baby. I was wondering about your comments on soy products. I've avoided most soy products for a long time because of the bad things I've heard over the years. Can you give me suggestions on where to do further research to prove those wrong? I would love that. Thank you!
Absolutely! :) Please visit NutritionFacts.org ForksOverKnives.com and PlantBasedJuniors.com and get their brand new book! There is a wealth of science-backed information out there to prove that organic soy is safe and nutritious! :)
@EATMOVEREST, WOW! This was video was amazing. It gave me so information I had no idea about. I knew I was low in vitamins. But you spelled it all out in a way I can understand it. By the way, could you do a video related to this one that shows exactly what you eat in a day that has all these ingredients included??? So I can get an idea of how to eat better. Been going Vegan/plant base for 4 months now. But losing muscle mass and bone strength, a problem.
Most of our nuts are imported in mid- western climates, and I love Brazil nuts, almonds, pistachios etc... Pecans can come from Georgia and some things grow in the country and neighboring country. However this can make it more expensive and I would really like to know what tree and various varieties of nuts can be found, and purchased locally.I've heard of beech nuts being edible (not sure if we have them around near us),acorn soup although a little bitter according to what I've read.Would really appreciate suggestions for non-tropical/desert/mountain nuts to enjoy adding to the plant base repertoire,as well as what to request at farmer's markets that have possible availability.Thx.Enjoying your channel,God bless 😊💓
Do you eat organically? I have thyroid issues and there are so many (well, at least it feels that way to a veggie lover) foods I shouldn’t eat. I loved your food haul !
I just found out about you guys 3 weeks ago and love all this info! I'm starting to adapt but to be honest I'm nervous to cook.... I'm not the greatest. I'm good at smoothies and soups bc I use the blender lol 😆
It's not something you necessarily have to eat every single day. Check the back of the bag! You can also buy seaweed snacks for kids! They tend to love them!
We've attended several conferences, trainings, and online webinars/certifications! Most of it comes from just being genuinely interested in and passionate about holistic living!
I like your channel, you have a beautiful family but I've learned how to separate my vegetables and fruits when I am making smoothies for my body to better absorb the nutrients. Thanks for the information, I'm a new subscriber
OMG! It can be so frustrating trying to be vegan because I'm already naturally skinny so, when people offer me food and I so "no" because i'm trying to stop eating junk, they think i'm anorexic or bulimic. Then I try to explain why, and they all of a sudden become professional nutritionist and tell me what I should eat, or what's okay to eat when I know for sure it's not. I don't look sick, and I have twice as much energy as the people that are telling me this....I wish people would just accept no for an answer because i'm tired of explaining my lifestyle choice when I know it's for my own good...and I'm a recovering junk/fast food addict so, the temptation everyday is real.
Following...I want to avoid giving my 1 year old dairy but pediatrician advises against it. I was vegan while pregnant but am worried about my child getting all the nutrients since toddlers can be picky. And thoughts? Thanks
@@EatMoveRest Thanks for your response. Really enjoy 😃😃 your videos. I am a born again Christian and want to let you know that Jesus loves you and I think 🤔 you are pretty cool too! John 1:12 and Ephesians 2:8-9. Keep up the excellent job.
I gave up meat over a year ago and have been doing fine until recently. I have been craving meat and I don't know why. I will eat mock meats occasionally, but they are hard on my stomach and a lot of them don't taste very good. I don't feel hungry or anything, just craving a burger with real hamburger or I want bacon with breakfast or lunch meat on my sandwich. It is frustrating, do you guys have any advice for me?
@@EatMoveRest I eat great all summer long, tons of fruits and veggies, lots of which come out of my garden, but in the winter I crave mostly carbs and sugar, especially since I suffer from Seasonal Affective Depression. I know I need to eat better, but my body just wants tots and cereal. Ugh. I am starting to feel better now and I will work on my meal planning and try to do better, thanks!
@@jenniferknowles2023 I'm vegetarian and find that keeping some boiled eggs in the fridge helps. I usually boil about a dozen and then store them in the fridge ready for when I want one. Also, try having some more protein for breakfast. That might help
