Hi im a 12 year old with a cooking passion and i just made this for my family of 8, and they loved. You have earned a sub my man. Also a tip you should use rice paper and dip it in the marinade then pan fry it for the bacon. The texture will be just like bacon
I recently discovered your website. It is bloody brilliant. No ridiculous health claims and obscure ingredients. Why have you not got millions of subscribers?
I am making a vegan british breakfast using benevolent bacon (sadly tempeh does NOT agree with my intestines), gardein sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, low carb vegan toast from Aunt Millie's company, and going to try my hand at using tofu slices with yellow bell pepper yolks. Not 100% british but I also have type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease to find my way around. Finally found the heinz beans at a local grocery store after looking for 3 years.
I only tried the beans today. Delicious! I'll give the full-on breakfast a shot once I get all the ingredients. Speaking of ingredients, what vegan soy sauce do you use? Do you ever use Bragg Liquid Aminos as a substitute? So happy to have discovered you and Lowly Food. ❤❤
I’ve never had a full English and have always wanted to, so this gave me a bunch of ideas for how to make my first attempt. Also a little bit of advice for the tofu scramble, see if you can find some black salt because it gives food that eggy or sulfurous taste reminiscent of animal eggs.
You’ve got to give it a go. So worth it. Yes good advice with the kala namak salt. I personally don’t get on with it - but you’re right it does add a very similar flavour to the tofu!
Great vid! Magical. Full English have been one of my fav guilty pleasures before. But: No Kala Namak / Black Salt in the scrambled eggs? 😄 that one makes it so much more egg-like ! ✌🏼💚🌱
Thanks! Personally, I’m not a massive fan of kala namak. I don’t really like the sulphurous flavour, but you are right it does help give the tofu a more eggy taste.
Hey Hugo! This looks amazingly delicious! Everything is just perfect! I have to skip tempeh and sausages cuz they aren’t available here but gonna make everything else😁 the baked beans recipe is the best. Which beans are you using though? Well definitely gonna try this and let you know💛 thanks for this❤️
Amazing, great to hear from you as always swarnima! For the beans I’m using haricot beans (sometime called navy beans) but you can also use canellini beans as well. Hope you enjoy it!
First time I have seen a sausage that looks like it has the right texture for a breakfast sausage, and the bacon looks excellent too. I like the fact that you are using basic ingredients rather than buying in flavourings or additives.
