@@ms.hotdoglegs614Takes a lot of water, food, space, ethics, etc, etc.. Yeah, I’m just going to cut to the chase: these vegan eggs scare a lot of folks away solely because of the packaging. Sure, they do take less resources to make than regular chicken, but they are also as heavily packaged as a Japanese stationary product.
@@MurronWright- Veganism DOES harm living beings - simply, not in the way of consuming them. Though, to believe veganism is “cruelty-free,” is far more delulu than even anything Amberlynn has ever said. Also, supplements are not the healthiest way to go. Much of ‘em don’t even get fully absorbed, as well as can cause kidney and liver damage. Supplements are not meant to be a permanent replacement.
That was my first thought, also. However, I looked up the ingredients - and I am a bit astounded at how not bad the ingredients are. And there isn’t even that many ingredients, either. Water, almonds, cashews, coconut milk, salt, agar, yeast, konjac, natural flavor, rosemary, turmeric. And I am, also, a bit flabbergasted at how they could get coconut, cashews, and almonds to even taste remotely close to a real egg. Though, I still don’t get why not just eat a real egg? Free range chicken eggs are from chickens who are treated well and have a good life. I’d say eating their eggs help gives them a purpose. And we all just wanna find out purpose, in life, lol.
@@xtinkerbellax3you just need to do research on who is telling the truth on their labeling. We'll be being given lab grown meat without the label on it soon enough if we aren't already. That was FDA approved during the whole "Titan" incident, very hush hush.
It's the salt, you can do some solid egg scrambles with turmeric, black salt and adobo (or Onion and garlic powder) and firm tofu, give it a try. Much cheaper than those eggs too (like 3 to 4 dollars for 1 block of tofu).
OVERKILL what vegan eggs packaging environmentally more damaging than the actual chicken farms well, I guess if you have to have one buuuuuuut you do not want to eat a real one
I got a package of powdered vegan egg whites from Whole Foods once and used some to make an omelet for breakfast one morning. I forgot exactly what brand it was but It made the whole damn house smell like farts. Despite how bad it smelt, it tasted like nothing and had this weird texture with the fakest looking yellow coloring. 🤢
$8+ for 3 eggs or $2 for 12 real ones, 18 on sale.. I was vegan for a while even when inflation wasn't insane, but now more than ever it seems very hard on the wallet for that lifestyle... sad :(
I have a household of five people living in one (average) salary and we eat very well. In fact better than I’ve ever eaten. These kinds of products are aimed at people who are transitioning to plant based foods. Of course we eat this kind of thing now and again, depending on affordability, but my kids (both born vegan) dislike animal analogs and prefer vegetables and fruit.
What gets me is you have no clue. They are bred and forced to produce way more eggs than they should naturally. Not even accounting for the torturous environment they live in but go off Joe, whatever excuses you want to make
@@choochooo think it is you dear sir who have not got a clue. I take it that you live in the woods in a hut made from reclaimed wood. ??? No ??? I guess then the house you live in and the exo system destroyed by your building doesn't count or the 1090 of birds killed each day and torn to pieces by wind farms, also I take it you don't use anything with plastic in it, or use anything that uses precious metals? Like your computer or phone, or that you don't drink fresh water from the tap. Or travel on public transport, or use a car fueld by dead animals, or batteries from strip mines, all kill slowly and mame a HUGE amount of animals, not to mention the huge amount of pesticides used for your avocadoes, the fact that growing it strips the land far more and the poor badgers, voles, mice slowly killed by the chemicals, and then they have to ship them to the destination, why are you not growing youe foos yourself, all the preservatives used in your fake meat. And my eggs are free range from the local farm, same as the meat I eat, and why is it we don't see these activists marching on a halal slaughter house where they cut their throats and watch them plead to death kicking and screaming, the reason is your all full of crap it's for attention this is why vegan beauty is only fans, and vegan gains been caught in 4k eating chicken and burgers, it's purely something you can virtue signal to try make yourself look good, and everyone sees it. If you wanted to make a change then you would educate yourself and then lobby for change but know you go on camera and show videos of the very small number of slaughter houses that may mistreat the animals, the majority don't, but you lot make it out to be that way as you won't get views, this is why you even pester children and people in restaurants , cos you know your full of crap and aslong as you are not in danger like at slaughter houses because you have no conviction just like stop oil. I know a lot of farmers and they treat their animals which exist purely for food and they live their life very well no predators eating them alive you try to put a human race on them when they are not human. I bed when you squish a spider or a ant you don't think twice but they have just as much right to live don't they? Or do only the cute ones matter??? Funny that isn't it. You enjoy your fake food as your body and health suffer doubt it will as you will be sneaky bugger eating away from people , not to mention the supplement and how they are produced and what with, point being the world needs feeding and there isn't enough FERTILE SOIL for the earth to just eat plants, the amount of crop rotation and the years you have to leave the soil to regain nutrients, not to mention the natural habitat destroyed to make the fields a lot more space is needed to grow your veggy, and the soy, but that doesn't matter. We are what we are, plus if tommorow we released all the animals for food free then they would all be killed within a few years by other animals other than the human animal. We are omnivore and that's how we evolved. Until growing near from cells becomes cheap then we will have to depend if other animals to fuel ourselves, never mind these fake you tubers pretending to be vegan with muscles as it's all fake like breathing air poleople who say they lives for years on just air. A simple blood test will show weather or not they eat meat. So I'm afraid I do my homework, and I'm totally fine with eating meat.
@@choochooo Correction, they were bread for that. Eggs are delicate, even human eggs, so it requires a lot of nutrition to create that egg. Egg shells are soft or yolks are loose when they don't have a proper diet. Hobby farmers and backyard chicken owners tend to have their chickens with ample space and well fed so that they are happy. Happy chickens lay better eggs, anyway, so the argument doesn't really need to be made. Larger companies are slowly moving to free range due to legislation in several areas. While right now that still can leave a lot of room for mistreatment, it's moving in the right direction. We have overbred several species and selected them for their desirable traits that often would leave them worse off if we left them alone. Chickens often won't sit on their own eggs to hatch them and some breeds rarely hatch chicks without help. Much like with sheep, it's not like they can exist without us at this point so we really just need to make the best of it. I think we disagree on what the best is but your information is bloated.
You asking your girl if you could try them without salt first .... i think im starting to understand why you run a gossip gorlworld channel... your funny asf dude im not hating i legitimately like your channel the dynamic is strange though
Wife is vegan. I will not do the amount of packaging for this silly cult of moral superiority. We made a deal. We'll get chickens and she'll eat the eggs. I'll be extra nice to the chickens and name them.
@paige2567 hi ummm, so at the price of $8.29 for 6 egg halfs, that would make a dozen eggs cost $33.16. Not even close to what the price was. Also, not everyone lives in the hell hole cities and paid insane prices. Most I ever paid was $4.40 for a dozen. Thank u
This looks a bit lame..however.. we regularly use Just Egg to make scramble and it is delicious. The secret trick is to add a little black salt (that sulferous smell you just commented on), use sparingly until you have it as eggy as you’d like. It makes a delicious breakfast with vegan breakfast sausage and (non pork) baked beans. Yes I am British, beans are for breakfast.
