I hope you find your tortoise! We had a box turtle/tortoise and she had a covered outside enclosure for the summer and she didn't dig out (the grass was really thick) but she loved eating the clover flowers and earthworms. One day my parents found that something had dug under from the outside (we thought maybe a coyote) and thought she was gone. It was strange because nothing ever seemed interested in her and I think she had been going out in her summer enclosure for 20 ish years at that point. A couple months later, Mom is mowing the lawn and sees a strange little lump and it was our turtle! So she was found in time to come inside before it got too cold out. I don't know how old she was when she passed, we got her out of the newspaper classified ads and knew so very little about turtles/tortoises. I love that nowadays it is a lot easier to get information on proper care and what sort of commitment you are looking at before you get an animal.

Dominique Hebert yeah but it was weird as we normally find him when he’s out because he’s inside all night and it’s nice to let him out and especially because he had only just came out of hibernation so we gave him a selection of things and ate all of them it was just weird like one minute you see him next minute he’s gone 😂

Better to break it. Chances are the pressure of the water makes it damn near impossible for a twig like me to roll down the window, and the water will shut all electricity in the car out within a minute of contact, so it won’t roll down. No other way than to smash it really🤷🏼‍♀️
