Akira may be gone but not forgotten. Did you c the pictures of his tribute in Amsterdam? It may be a sad occasion, but the sight of everyone dressed up as dragon ball characters made me smile. It looked more like an anine convention instead of a memorial. I hope he would be pleased with that.

I love Goku’s plan of strategically moving across the arena and slicing the terrain to try and knock out Jiren. It’s such a good idea. What I hate is that it inexplicably doesn’t work because he floats/flies/jump back up, whatever you wanna call it. That’s pretty stupid if you ask me

The problem with Jiren being so powerful is that he could end the fight at any point. There's no reason why the tournament should still be going on when Jiren can overpower each and every fighter with ease. There's no point for him to let the fight drag on, and that's the annoyance with Jiren being so powerful.

You probably noticed that SSB Goku was doing a lot better against Jiren this time than when he first used Blue against Jiren. In the manga, this is because there are actually multiple levels of SSB like there was with the original SSJ. They normally use the initial SSB, but Goku has access to a level called Mastered SSB, which is a significant power bump, but he can also maintain the form easier as well as a higher state of power. This stacked with Kaioken x 20 is much much stronger than SSB. Vegeta in this got what was called SSB Evolved or in the Japanese name, SSB Shinkai. It is very much like Super Vegeta I think but it's for SSB. This bump is pretty high though as it jumps from Normal SSB past Mastered SSB and rivaling Mastered SSB Kaioken x 20. Although, Jiren seems much stronger it appears...(won't spoil it)

The official name is SS Blue Evolution. It is an anime-exclusive transformation, just like Trunks' Sayian Rage form during the Goku Black arc. (Both are anime only) It was given to Vegeta as an exciting visual to show Vegeta finally catching up to SSB with Kaioken. R.I.P Sensei 🙏😭

Lots of people don’t like Blue evolution, but I like it. It’s nice that Vegeta has a transformation exclusive to himself (not counting the manga). It’s the Blue version of Super Vegeta.

It is not a zenkai boost. They explain these divergent paths for Goku and Vegeta later on in the manga. Goku is going down the path of Ultra Instinct... BUT if you remember, Whis told Vegeta in an earlier episode that he'd surpass Goku if he ever mastered "ki-control". This is the first glimpse we get of Vegeta going down the path of "ki-mastery". To make a long story short... Whis discussed the effect that their "super saiyan" transformations have on their bodies... and the amount of ki lost while powering up for those transformations. Once Vegeta starts mastering ki-control he is able to optimize his transformations and power up without wasting his ki in the process. That is how he is able to tap into a version of Super Saiyan Blue we haven't seen yet.

Jiren should have been knock out here. I mean, that move by Goku was 10/10 and that was a clean knock out. One of Goku's best move ever, showing how smart he really is when it comes to a fight.

The small details is what makes this series amazing. Once Vegeta commences his walk then Goku follows.. a Prince is always first to guide his soldiers. Throughout this tournament Goku hears Vegeta loud and clear. RIP Akira Toriyama

As far as I'm concerned Vegeta's form is the anime's version of perfect SSB.

Jiren floating above Goku is exactly what I mean about inconsistent writing on this arc. It's OBVIOUS that Jiren is floating, which is NOT supposed to even be possible, let alone that he has the ability.

I believe vegeta's new super saiyan blue form.It's just an advanced variant of it. Remember, the red super saiyan form has pupils. I think vegeta in this instance is stronger than goku. Ultra instinct isn't so much so a form as it is more of a technique. A technique that needs all cloudy thoughts to be vacant. Vegeta is knocking on the door of ultra instinct, But it can't quite reach it because all you can think about is winning the tournament, saving universe 6 With the super dragon balls.

It is Vegeta limit breaker Blue, a result of his year long resolve to never lose to anybody ever again or not being able to hold his promises. A tribute to Vegetas extreme will and ego.

You ever notice, Vegeta is grabbing his left arm whenever he gets injured. Like a permanent reoccurring pain. It's the same arm Frieza broke, and Android 18 broke.

Vegeta's new form was an awesome reveal, and it's known as SSGSS Blue evolved. However, I like the fan name better which is SSGSS Royal Blue, which showcases it's a form unique to Vegeta and pays homage to his Royal Bloodline he always talks about.

No Vegeta obviously achieved this SSB Evolution form right before they left for the T.O.P . He was in the Hyperbolic TimevChamber again righr before coming to the T.O.P . They also showed him walking slow through the dark blue light after he blew up the chamber again before going to the Tournament . Also when he trained in there this time, he didnt come out breathing hard or tired like he did when he was training for Goku Black in the Time Chamber .

Super Vegeta was still SS1. SS1 has multiple grades (higher form within the form. Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta were grade 1 before training in the time chamber. Vegeta and Trunks gained SS1 grade 2 in the chamber; they both gained grade 3 which is the bulky form Trunks used against Cell but Trunks realized Vegeta knew it but never used it due to the speed disadvantage. Goku and Gohan achieved grade 4 in the time chamber and SS2 was called grade 5 in the guide book but it’s its own form. Jiren could easily just ring them out and has no reason not to, the story is hurt when the writing does stuff like that.

This is called Royal Blue in the anime what most people think it is is the mastered SJ Blue from the Manga power wise its on par with Goku's Blue Kaioken but without the Drawbacks. I Am Glad Toriyama was alive to see super finished at least..what a legend.

OF COURSE the Spirit Bomb failed. Jiren IS NOT evil. It's explicitly stated when King Kai teaches Goku the technique that it is specifically meant to destroy evil. That's why Goku was able to give it Krillin (which was a level of power Krillin would never be able to muster) AND why Gotham was able to rebound it back at Vegeta. Neither of them were evil so the Spirit Bomb was little more than a volleyball to them. It's not as effective a weapon as everyone seems to think it is. At this point I doubt it would affect Vegeta. He's not EVIL anymore. An asshole sure, but not evil.

Yes Vegeta was given this form in order to be on par with Kaioken Goku. The form is called Blue Evolution

I think it’s actually beyond kaioken blue but below ultra Instinct at least at this point in the story. In the Moro arc, Vegeta in his blue evolution form was outperforming UI omen Goku against Moro.

This form is indeed meant to respond to what Goku pulled out against Hit before. Super Saiyan Blue Evolution was created to compliment Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken.

Blue Evolved is one of my favorite transformations. It’s so beautiful. Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is like Super Saiyan Blue 2. “The perfect” mastered form of SSB. Blue at %100 and more.

This form is the Super Vegeta version of Super Saiyan Blue (draining your stamina at a greater rate for a boost in raw power), it's called Super Saiyan Blue Evolution (terrible name but whatever). We in the fandom like to call it Royal Blue though. It's theorized to be about roughly as powerful as SSB Kaioken (but with a less harsh drawback since Kaioken damages the body on top of the stamina drain).

I almost wonder if one of these days Vegeta will be stronger than Goku due to the emotions matching the ideals of the blood. Too bad we may never know.

R.I.P Akira Toriyama. Pretty sure the official name for vegeta's form is ultra ego or Wagamama no Goku'i in japanese. According to sources looking online, it was named by toyotarou and added after toriyama greenlit it. I think it's supposed to be a side by side version to ultra instinct. Wagamama no Goku'i in japanese means self indulgent or basically just selfish, self centered etc. All phrases along those lines.

You are correct, this is Super Vegeta Blue basically (according to Akira Toriyama), the name was never announced in the anime, but TOEI in their merchandise have officially named this form "Super Saiyan Blue Evolution". I don't remember Akira Toriyama naming it in his interview, but he basically compared it to the Ultra Super Saiyan/Super Vegeta/Super Saiyan Grade 2 form, but using Saiyan Beyond God state as a base and then powering up from Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and to answer your question, you are correct as well about the power scale, it is on par with Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x20. If Goku were to use Super Saiyan Evolution with Kaioken x20, he would be 20x more powerful than Vegeta, but as it is in this fight, Goku would not be able to handle the power of Super Saiyan Blue Evolution and Kaioken at the same time. In the manga, it's a bit different. Toyorato (And probably Toriyama) have officially dubbed the form "Super Saiyan Blue Evolved" in the manga, however, it looks exactly like Super Saiyan Blue, but the aura is a bit different looking, the hair color and eyes are the same color as Super Saiyan Blue though. Goku (in the manga) has reached a Super Saiyan Blue level similar to this one, but it's different, his version of it is called "Mastered Super Saiyan Blue". The difference between the forms is that Mastered Super Saiyan Blue is the blue version of Mastered Super Saiyan. Mastered Super Saiyan is the relaxed state Goku went into when he was training with Gohan for the Cell Games, it's basically where the body treats the form as a natural/base state that Goku can go in and out of and stay in at will and can use the same power and speed as Super Saiyan without reducing much of his stamina because his body got used to the form, but this is the Blue version of that. "Super Saiyan Blue Evolved (the manga version)" however is just like it's anime counterpart in terms of what kind of form it is. It doesn't look very different, but in this form, Vegeta powers past the limits of Super Saiyan Blue to achieve more power, however, unlike Mastered Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue Evolved does burn through Vegeta's stamina quicker. This is just a theory, but if Goku has mastered Super Saiyan Blue, then I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to transform into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan while already in the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan state resulting in Super Saiyan Blue 2 (which is how Super Saiyan 2 is accomplished (Super Saiyan 2 is basically when the user transforms into a Super Saiyan while already in the Mastered Super Saiyan state). Stages: Base > Super Saiyan > Super Saiyan Grade 2 (bulky form with crazy hair) > Super Saiyan Grade 3 (really big buff, bigger than Grade 2 with crazy hair/slow form) Mastered Super Saiyan (Base) > Super Saiyan 2 > Super Saiyan 3 (Super Saiyan 2 Grade 2) Base > Super Saiyan God Saiyan Beyond God (Base) > Super Saiyan Blue > Super Saiyan Blue Evolution (anime)/Super Saiyan Blue Evolved (manga) Mastered Super Saiyan Blue (Base) > Super Saiyan Blue 2? > Super Saiyan Blue 3 (Super Saiyan Blue 2 Grade 2)? Tbh when I thought about Vegetas royal blue form, I thought it was a SSJBlueSS grade B. The grade B form of SSJ like when he fought semi perfect cell but with SSJ Blue. Either that or I thought it was a form like SSJBlueSS2

Unfortunately this isn't much explanation for Super Saiyan Blue Evolved, but I like to think it has something to do with Vegeta's Royal Blood. His hair turns a darker color of blue, a Royal Blue per say.
