Y'all have no idea how thrilled it makes me to hear you celebrating the immense talent of our dear Nick "Lanipator" Landis. He gave everything for this scene, and as this project was a way for me to get closure with never doing the full Buu Saga? I'm just so happy this is hitting the notes like we wanted. Thank you all.

The fact I actually started tearing up at Vageta saying "best buddy" shows I'm way to invested in this series.

The touch of krillin screaming seeing vegeta about to die hits hard, because as it’s revealed in an earlier clip, despite his best efforts to stop him, krillin did eventually becomes vegeta’s friend. Touching.

Vegeta calling Goku "best buddy" really shatered my heart to pieces. This was just PERFECT!

Thank you for bringing both the "Best Buddy" AND "Vegeta no!" "VEGETA YES!" bits full circle in the best way possible. Had me legitimately tearing up.

Lanipator is THE definitive Vegeta, which is absolutely bizarre to say, but he genuinely combines the best aspects of Sabat and Drummond's performances, adds his own flair, and nails it in a way that honestly just works.

A moment of silence for the people who never made it to see DBZA Vegeta sacrifice himself.

Buu being a philosophical and wise simpleton feels like an even more faithful interpretation of the character than the original somehow

The ‘Vegeta Yes’ delivery…absolutely sublime. I actually prefer the first version. It had just enough gravitas for what should be a culmination of so much character development, with the right sprinkle of nervous humor instead of irreverent humor like the second version. I think the first version fit better.

I was taken out by calling Goten "Kakatot" and Vegeta trying to let best buddy sink in and still being like "eh no." Piccolo's part about the "will he see Goku thing" was just always going to be too spot on, even if acted well and honestly funny XD

Lani poured his heart and soul into his delivery and it’s absolutely beautiful. I never thought something labeled a parody could touch my heart like this has.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing these voice actors are. Lanny is literally 3 of the characters in this scene and whoever is doing buu just killed it. 10/10

"Buu has played this game before" is both a perfect line and a perfect performance. It really captured the way Buu could be absolutely terrifying even though he's a big goof and he was never really trying to be scary.

That scream is hands down THE BEST dragonball scream I've ever heard, arguably beyond original goku's powerup screams.

The fact that you can put jokes like the chicken nuggies line in such a serious scene without it undercutting the emotions of the scene is truly amazing. You guy are phenomenal writers and actors. Can't wait to see everything else you do

The fact you guys somehow made “Vegeta Yes” both hilarious and emotional is something else. And Lani is putting everything in there, what a perfectly executed scream. I bet he’s had that in his back pocket for years, wondering if he’d ever get to do this one moment. Like, I never knew I needed to feel emotional because Vegeta said the words “Best Buddy.” A testament to what has been built up over the past decade and a half.

Probably the best version of “Vegeta, NO! Vegeta, YES!!!!” TFS has come up with. This was such a treat to see. Thank you to the cast (and ESPECIALLY Kaiser who had to deal with the shaky footage again) for bringing DBZA back! Can’t wait to see part 2!

Man…didn’t realize actually how emotional this would make me, laughing and crying at the same time. My brother in law passed a couple months ago and him and I would watch dbza and laugh hysterically every time. I got so excited seeing team four star his parts of the buu saga, but he was the only friend I could have shared this joy with. Only he would understand. So long, best buddy. I WILL see you in heaven.

Lanis vegeta has so kuch emotion, especially since he has given Vegeta his all since they started TFS. And the amount of sympathy you hear when he says "Bulma, Trunks and even you best buddy" put me in tears just as much as Sabat did the sacrifice. Thank you TFS

I've always loved that last conversation between Vegeta and Piccolo, however, Piccolo just laughing at Vegeta, for asking if he'll go to heaven, it's perfect

This... really feels like this truly is DBZA's swan song, a final farewell to a heartfelt parody. The best buddy line just put a big smile on my face, Vegeta's arc coming full circle and finally calling Goku his BEST buddy.

The fact you guys recorded a version that made me cry and a version that made me burst out laughing with two minor changes is a testament to your skills.

It's a shame that we probably won't get a full TFS Buu Saga. But these little clips hit home. At the same time, the way that they've gone about it is almost a perfect summary and mirror to how people view the Buu Saga. A sprinkle of fun, endearing, and absolutely badass iconic moments, sandwiched in between a bunch of shit that most people either ignore, skip, or forget about when rewatching that arc. So in that respect, TFS has truly provided the perfect adaptation of the material in the way that only they can. Hats off and much respect, can't wait to see the rest of Mark's DBZ recap.

Genuinely gorgeous. Lani's bloodcurtling scream, the heartwarming emotions, the comedy without interfering with the somber tone, this hits so much harder than would ever be expected. Thank you Mark for giving TFS a chance to hit all these amazing scenes to their fullest.

A long while back, I saw a comment on one of the DBZA videos saying that the perfect line before Vegeta’s sacrifice was “for Bulma, for Trunks… and even you, best buddy”. I hope that person had their dream come true with this video 😊

The fact that Vegeta said farewell to Tien absolutely made my day

I literally can't describe how incredible Lani is at voice acting. The pure emotion put into these lines and that SCREAM. Gah damn it's made me shed some tears. Incredible job you guys. Simple perfect.

This series followed me through middle school and into my early 20's. It was special to me, my little brother, and my cousin who grew up watching the Spanish dub of dbz my Ma would buy from the flea market. To see it finally come full circle is more cathartic than words can express. Thank you everyone who made it possible

Legit the “Hit you really hard” and “Best Buddy” makes this such a great cap on his character arc. Even though they came from jokes, it feels legitimately powerful for Vegeta to say them. Not to mention how Lani’s performance was stellar.

I’m always amazed how TFS is somehow able to sprinkle in a joke or two (“Vegeta Yes”) without taking anything away from the scene or the emotions it’s supposed to make you feel. Awesome job and thank you guys for doing these

God dammit... I didn't want to cry today, but I'm so happy that we finally have some closure for the Buu arc that "never was going to happen". Thank you, everyone who made this possible.

That line "Oh? Buu has played this game." was delivered so beautifully. It was chilling, intimidating, and so fucking badass. The first two of those things I have never before thought of Fat Buu as, but which he was supposed to be, and the last one of them was just the icing on the cake here. I love it.

I can't express how much I enjoyed these bits. And though I completely understand that TFS has moved on great projects it's still a little bitter sweet knowing dbz abridged isn't coming back. Honestly that first take almost had me in tears. Hearing lanny again, and hearing him pour so much of his soul into those screams. Beautifully done.

I’m a big fan of Vegeta recognizing that Goku is his best friend. It shows the immense growth he had to do in just a few minutes. It goes very well with questioning if he’d see Kakarot in the afterlife.
