Today, they are on even ground in Base Form and Vegeta actually beat Goku in a duel recently in Base Form and it's canon so honestly all Vegeta needs to do from here is free his mind from so much hatred and keep learning from Beerus and Whis and he will become Goku's equal in their Final Forms. Apparently after the Granolah Arc, Goku's MUI goes up against Vegeta's UE and it's a battle for the ages.. I believe Goku just barely wins but it literally takes everything he has to do it, and Vegeta punishes Goku the majority of the battle but he is not completely used to UE yet while Goku has nearly perfected MUI. By the end they both are on the ground, and both pass out from exhaustion after the fight, but Goku gets back to his feet just before passing out and Vegeta does not... so Goku barely won by that account only. Whis and Beerus had a bet on who would win if that tells you how close they are by then in power. If this is true, then Vegeta has truly caught Goku in power you might as well say.

Vegeta progresses through raw determination and hard work. Goku has plot armor to push him through...

@@dannybauman1454 Vegeta uses his rage which makes him stronger than Goku. But when they both use their rage Goku is typically stronger, which is why he reaches his beast form and ultra instinct.

@@yubrajsahu8247 I disagree there is a stark difference between Z goku and super goku. Z goku was serious and could even be considered and mentally and emotionally sharp possessing a degree of sarcasm and wit. Super goku is a 12 year old with super powers

I was saying the reason he barely wins and loses so much was because Akira really disliked Vegeta and thus used him as a worf effect. Im just waiting for a DBZ abridged line, tournament of power. Vegita is struggling to stand against Jiren. Beerus jokes perhaps the solution is to slap Bulma again, worked last time. Jiren soon very confused hearing, “Thats my BULMA!!!” Jiren saying who as he stands up. The Jiren says something like I actually felt that. Ill slap this Bulma if it gets me a real fight. Then Vegita snaps again this time getting stopped in his tracks.

Well we would have seen probably ascended suoer saiyan briefly. Then back to standard super saiyan.

The fact he worked for his redemption and never forgot his heritage and always reminding goku of it and starting a family proves that he redeemed him self also with him sacrificing him self to save trunks and goten that’s his redemption
