Nexus came way before Sparking Zero was even announced. It just uses mechanics from Budokai but is based on Xenoverse and Kakarot.

I don’t think people who say this is based off kakarot played dbz kakarot (or nexus.) matches the visual style but the gameplay isn’t like kakarot at all imo
