I made it today. It was So good! But a word of caution, it took me 2 cups more water for the rice to get done, despite adequate prior soaking. Water required will vary with the basmati rice used. So keep checking and don't be afraid to add more. Also, I had to add an extra spoon of salt towards the end

Very nice recipe, I tried today and it was yummy. Only thing is I had to add more water( double the amount of rice) . We like our rice soft . But it was not mushy. The flavors of Garam masalas were very nice. Thank you for this recipe.
