This "fog" has two feature, at first the small drops provide a very large surface to exchange heat and second they can absorb a lot of heat. So the high pressure propellent gases will be cooled down a lot before exiting the vegetable, therefore the pressure drops a lot. Its the same effect as running a suppressor wet.

He gets more confident in front of the camera with little skits in the beginning of his video's. Also because his channel has grown, he has the money to do some pretty insane video's. I think the butternut squash worked bc it has a bulbous chamber in it where the has can expand well and then release, similar to a manufactured supressor
