Never heard of calling a Zucchini a Courgette. It might be one of those UK/English versus US/English. So thank you Alexa you are teaching me English as well.
It's curious how French works. In Portuguese, we call "un poivron" a "pimentão" (big pepper), while "poivre" is "pimenta" (pepper). It quite seems that the same logic can be applied to French, but I don't know what the sufix "on" can mean there.
I love how you teach us Alexa. I'm learning a lot. Even if me & my french boyfriend separated ways, I still want to improve my French. I'm a Filipina by the way 🙂
You are very clear Alexa. You understand English well so you give good examples. You utter French words very clearly which makes it easy to understand. Finally able to learn French.
Maybe you could also say zucchini in the video as well. I took French many years ago and am delighted to find you Alexa so I can review and progress. I am making my way through all your fun and informative posts. Merci, merci, merci!
I thought the onions were the tricky question from the game since Alexa pulled three out.😆 I was stucked thinking the answer should start with "Les" or "trois" and also thinking "the word (les/trois) and oignon supposed to have liaison?" (Ok, I really don't know the answer here, I appreciate a lot if someone can answer for me, I just start from beginning/alphabet months ago)
