Excellent video. I purchased my Veggie Bullet a week ago and have not turned it on. I felt very intimated until I found your video!!! You are so professional! Along with the other comments I'm curious about onions and tomatoes. Thank you for doing a good service for the human race. It helps to know someone is out there helping consumers! Good luck and keep reviewing.
I purchased my VB by phone. Checked out online direct order as well. One important thing is you must NOT use the shooter LID, or 1D marker Lid with the sPIRALIZER baskets. Even though it fits, and the red and green light will come on appropriately, If you use the Lid marked 1D with the spiralizer outer and inner basket. If you do, this will shred plastic in with your food, and the metal pole connecting the basket to spin will snap and break. If they had made the 2 lids shaped to fit only with the spiralizer basket, and only, the shooter basket this would eliminate this mistake. VERY hard to see the Lid markings. Then you have to call customer service and have them send a new lid, outer and inner basket, and maybe a new pusher (tamper) if it is cut by the blades.
Never saw the infomercials but saw it for the first time in a Bed Bath and Beyond circular a couple weeks ago. As a fan of the magic and nutra bullets, I had to check it out. Your review is the most relatable review I have found online...thank you! I may pick one up and if I do, I'm following your advice and getting it directly from the company so I have all the various accoutrements. Nice job on a thorough review!
I'm a gadget junkie, so I had to stop what I was doing and watch your review. Somehow I missed all the advertising on this unit. The shoestring potatoes have me sold. Thanks for the review😃
You actually crossed my mind while I was making this video, since your channel is all about cooking! I decided to pick this up when I saw three channels running infomercials for it at the same time a couple of weekends ago!
Christy's Cooking Channel yessss im a kitchen gadget junkie too. I want this so bad. I'm an obese person, and i want to eat better and healthier. Need to save money to buy this.
It seems like an interesting product but I don't think I could justify the cost when I already have a food processor with additional blade set. I like how it spits out the slices though. Great review as always!
If you want a blender , food processor and juicer in one buy the nija professional. It the best blender ever that can do everything and has a good motor . It chops ice in seconds and works up to what it says it does. It On sale at Canadian tire right now . I will never buy majic bullet blender or products . The majic bullet brakes eaisly and motor sucks. Great reviews love watching them .
Thanks for making your video. Your vids are always fun & informative. 👍🙂 The Veggie Bullet appears to be a handy for food prepping. But I don't think I'd buy this if it shuts off after a minute and I'd have to wait for the motor to cool down before resume using it .... this would piss me off .... my food prep should not be interrupted. But I do love the spiralizer, that's very efficient. I can't justify spending a bunch of cash on this.
Glad I watched your review. I’ve had mine for well over a year sitting in the cupboard because the cauliflower went ALL over the place. Gave up. Found through your review I didn’t put the black piece in. Thank you !! Will be using my veggie bullet again.
I have a Magic Bullet - the first version of these Bullets... It was the best purchase for my kitchen ever. It's been so many years and I'm still using it. I wish we had this sold in Turkey, too. I'd definitely go for it. Love the Bullets. They are worth every bit of money paid for them.
Just bought the veggie bullet and your video was most helpful in showing how to put it all together corectly. I love gadgets and this one I feel will be most useful. All equipment needs washed up. I do not find it a problem if you do it straight away. Thanks for clear instructions and demonstration. The spiralizer was a great success and cant wait to try the slicer and shredder.
I just got this for Fathers day from my wonderful children. I went on a diet last November (I started around 300 lbs) the diet is called Take Shape for Life or Medifast. I am now 215 pounds, and the Veggie Bullet is the greatest tool to go along with the diet. I make Cauliflower Crust for pizza or Cauliflower bread sticks. I use zucchini noodles in place of pasta, also spiral zucchini for Lasagna. (it tastes great, sound gross.) I eat a lot of salad and this tool makes it so easy. we also use a lot of low fat cheese, and i hate buying shredded cheese, so now i buy it in blocks and shred it with my Veggie Bullet. To say the least I am pleased. My kids got it at Target so i didn't get the extra blades or the bullet, but I called the company and they put the package together for me and because I bought the Veggie Bullet, they gave me $10 off and free shipping(for a total of $34 for 3 blades and the Nutri bullet.
I love this machine, it's too bad they are not making them anymore. My shredder blade broken and they would not send it to me in Canada so i just bought a used machine, now i have the blade plus all the other parts if anything goes wrong. When putting in my veggies or anything else i fill up the spout, i don't put in one piece at a time if i can put in more then you do not run into the machine shutting off, i have never had that happen but too me it's not a big deal anyway. The cleaning is a pain but i prep so much when i use it, i do my shredding of cheeses and veggies, cabbage ect. slice other veggies and store in containers in my fridge, i also freeze my shredded cheese, it really helps prepping, makes putting meals together much easier. Love this machine! 💖
Hi! I purchased the "Veggie Bullet" about 2 weeks ago from HSN. Got in the mail today, and yes I had a very difficult time putting it together, 1. You have to have a lot of strength in your hands to lock it in place and add pressure to "push" the food through the slot on top. 2- it was confusing as to how to assemble it. I actually learned more from your video. Thanks.
I love this machine veggie bullet. Make sure you use the lid with the center hole for the spiralizer not the shredder. Other than that it's simple. But did have trouble spiralizing a carrot since it kept turning and the pusher doesn't seem to be able to stop it from twisting
got to post office too late Sat for picking up Veggie Bullet..\\thanks for review.other best hint is buy a nice size box to keep items centralized and safe...can see how the bowl might be essential...also decided to buy online...looking forward to continued review on this product...
Freakin' Reviews thanks for the review of this product. I thought mines was a defective product. I wasn't twisting it on all the way to where the arrow lines up so the light would come on. I got it on now. It's only been sitting hear for 8mths. Again Thanks!
I just opened it and I agree that it is overwhelming when you first open the box. It does appear to be too many pieces but they are all labeled which makes it easy to use. I will purchase the bowl later...but I have all the accessories you showed. I also want to purchase the cook book because I want to make the lasagna...it looks so good on the infomercial. Well I guess I could always look at the infomerical again for the recipe. I was glad to see the brush which helps with clean up. I am excited about my purchase of the Veggie Bullet. You did an awesome review!
I didn't know there were other blades! Thanks! Didn't know about the one minute either. Thought something else was wrong and I reassembled it, lol. I had trouble with spiralizing the sweet potato. Finally worked though. I only use the dishwasher if I sliced meat.
That one minute shut off is a "no go" for me. When I get working I don't want to be slowed down. Also, there is no excuse for that to be a motor issue as this doesn't happen with any food processor or many blenders that run much longer with the same or similar force. Thank you for pointing that out and saving me the hassle of returning it.
I dont know what you do to afford all these gadgets, but the cost is another Con. At $174 PLUS shipping, thats a lot for most people to put out for something to play with your food. And it is LOUD. thats probably just me though
I've had mine for a while now and although I'm not using it that often, it's a good machine. I don't find cleaning it to be a problem as long as you rinse it off straight away so stuff doesn't get stuck. I keep my sink and strainer plug very clean, and catch any stray veggies that I rinse off, then I just leave the parts to air-dry. I tend to use it when I've got a lot to do, for instance when making slaw or bulk spiralising (keeps quite well in the fridge for a few days). I have only got the basic kit and probably wouldn't bother with the extra blades, but I may consider the blender attachment. I don't have a regular food processor and think this is a worthy replacement.
Great review, James, will definitely be following you from now on. A friend told me about the Veggie bullet but I have been skeptical. This helped me make a decision. Can't wait for the follow up.
I think this would be worth it for people who do a lot of bulk prep of foods and ingredients at one time. People who regularly are canning, fermenting, dehydrating, and freezing would save time using this. For me and my hubby, this is overkill...I do occasionally use my pull cord chopper, but the minimal clean up time for one knife and a cutting board is the kicker. I would love enjoy seeing a comparison for prepping a meal for a normal family using just a knife, or this machine, including the clean up for each method. No dishwasher allowed, lol!
I've had my Veggie Bullet for about two weeks now and I'm amazed each time I make Zucchini spirals, or sweet potato curls for fries! Just fantastic!! I also love the slicer for making garden salads, everything is sliced beautifully! And ready so fast! Clean-up is a breeze. I love the blender for making the best hummus so silky smootn! I highly recommend this product!! And I bought directly from the Veggie Bullet site and got all the extra blades and the blender. The one thing that didn't come with it is the form fitting collection bowl for catching the sliced veggies, so you have to purchase that separately if you want it. I did and for only $19.00 and another $3.50 for shipping you get two bowls for that price. Good luck and enjoy!
I have the nutribullet blender which I think is their blender/smoothie maker. It is brilliant. My only complaint is that the ring gasket in the blender cup base can be a pain. But it's well made, easy to use and does the job.
I eat a TON of plants so I'm very interested in this. It would go good with my juicer. 1 thing though it's kinda BS you have to by the catcher bowl seperate, most devices like this come with it but it's a minor thing.
I bought a vege bullet and used it for about a month. It was fast and efficient - but was just too big for me. So instead, I wound up buying a Cuisinart ssl-100 prep express. (Like on Amazon or eBay.) This did everything that the Vege Bullet did for the most part. That is - it can slice, it can spiralize, make waffle cuts, French Fry cuts, and more and, unlike the Vege Bullet - it didn't require a lot of pressure to use it. Cuisinart did a very good job of making a small item that can do a lot. You should try it. :-)
I am waiting for mine to arrive. I used a coupon " Veggit" to get 25$ off on the website with free shipping and payments fir 5 months interest free. I love the nutribullet 900 and have never had a problem with it. Can't wait to try it out and they said it had a small footprint on the informercial. I've seen tomatoes sliced perfectly on other RU-vid videos . Thanks for posting this
Aw man I didn't know about that coupon code! Oh well! :-) I've been using it almost every day, and so far I'm enjoying it. My latest use, which I'll include in a Part 2, is slicing chicken breasts to go on my salads. Works great for that.
Be careful with the veggie bullet. Three time I tried the spiralizer and the top popped off and the black blade disc flew out and hit me to the face , stomach, and flew to the floor. It was said, by you when the red light comes on the bullet in put together correctly. I had my husband watch this video and the same think happened to him, but I had him stand clear. I was so excited about eating more healthy but I’m scared of this machine. Do you know wha may have gone wrong?
That's scary! I'm not sure if that red light is 100% foolproof, but all I can think of is maybe the latch wasn't securely locked in place. I have never had that happen, so perhaps your latch is defective? Has that happened with the other lid?
Thank U sooo much. I have had thus for years and only used it once. I now live a planet based diet so I decided to pull it out. It's not in the original box, so I don't have instructions. Again thanks 😊
Google super excited when I saw the infomercial and found it on Amazon.com for $125! When I got the product, it only had the shredding blade and the spiralizing blade. That was a super bummer! But, I love my veggie bullet and use it very very often. So thanks for the veggie bullet I have more fun with zucchini and scrambled eggs for breakfast, cauliflower pizzas and shredding my cheese! Thanks veggie bullet
I was sooo happy with your "True Review" I went looking for one lucky me someone who wasn't happy about all the cleaning up returned it to BB&B I scored it for 70 and 20% off👍🏻😁 zodooles, broccoli slaw, prep 4 dinner in minutes clean up fast! Ordering the extra parts from HSN. Thanks again! For Working moms who cook it's a extra helper in the kitchen! Also looking forward to my brownie pan back to BB&B maybe someone returned one 😂😉!
This is a great and honest review. I've never heard of this product so thank you for the introduction and thanks for going into such detail. I just subscribed!
This is another one of those " kitchen helpers " that's fine for the cook that has an assistant to do the dishes and clean up ! I do not have a person for that so I'll pass ! 😊
If it's reliable and it consistently works, with no sign of breaking, its absolutely awesome. After just watching this video, i really really want one!!!!!!!
Thank you for such a great video..i just got mine today from TJ Maxx for 60. i also bought the juicer, and an a container.. I was a bit concern because the Veggie Bullet does shot off by itself and i thought there was something wrong with it..glad you mention it...i am going to keep playing with it..thanks so much
Thanks. I too figured out online deal with extras is worth it. You're very smart and thorough. I appreciated your honesty with the cons. I'm getting one!
Excellent walkthrough.very informative. Thanks for putting this video up. :) i really like the veggie bullet and all its abilities. Its better than the separate food processer and veggie spiralizer. Ita like several things in one, which is right up my alley.i hate using 5 or 6 different machines just to food prep. Def going to look into getting it
Purchased this like 4 years ago just getting around to using as part of low carb approach, great product, I came to late to the game as the product is not sold new anymore, my review great product and the footprint is okay for me, just found e-bay site that sells parts and more blades, full speed ahead even though it is not made any longer, electric motors like this are made to last typically!
This does not look like a value for the money! All the hype on time savings and you spend more time assembling, dis-assembling, washing, prepping the veggies to be processed, etc. etc. And the stupid machine will not just run, it needs a rest every minute or it shuts off....What a piece of crap that will set you back over $150, I don't think so!
Yea, never seen such a complicated machine, very stressful. It's not worth the money and time. I followed the instruction on the manual to set it up and it won't work and it looks like the machine is exploding very scary. Then I watched a lot of You tube review to find out what I am doing right but didn't see any difference from how I set my unit. I can't be bothered I am putting away. Too much stress in the world and I am not going to let the junkie machine create additional stress for me 🙄😢
I use veggie bullet at work and the biggest complaint that I have is how it wastes so much produce. Everything has to be cut down to size to fit into the feeder. It doesn't do a good job on sweet potatoes and butternut squash because it doesn't separate all the strands when it cuts them. We get a mixture of perfectly cut strands and some chunks which have been cut but not separated which doesn't look good for presentation. They need to redesign and make a bigger feeder for bigger veggies to fit in like butternut squash and it should cut and separate veggies perfectly.
Awesome review - and you are most awesome also. I am not certain but it looks like one and the same cookbook(s) - one hard cover for $20 and the softcover that is included.
OH MAN I HAVE A FAMILY OF 11 I COOK FOR AND THE PREP TIME FOR CUTTING SLICING AND DICING IS HORRIBLE BY THE TIME I FINISH CUTTING UP EVERYTHING I DONT FEEL LIKE COOKING THIS WILL REALLY HELP ME OUT IM BUYING. CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE CUT MYSELF CUTTING UP CHEESE THATS PERFECT

Thinking of getting one since I bought the air fryer .I am a vegetarian .The air fryer makes great veggie chips and now I use a mandolin and it takes forever to cut them
I just got mine and not impressed it couldn't spiralize a sweet potato without getting jammed up. They are sending me a replacement bowl to see if it fixes the issue.
Hi, I love my veggie bullet also what I love about it I pay only 35.95 monthly payments I think that's pretty cool, only have two more payments and it's mine. my grandkids love the curly fries I do all kinds of veggies in it and it's fun. Thank you for your review I give it a thumbs up
Thank you for the review on veggie bullet. I was undecided mainly because of many bad reviews it had. You helped me clear those questions because of your video. It is expensive but I think I will try the monthly payment online. Thank you very much and keep up the great work!!
I can't thank you enough!!!! It never worked. No matter what I read or saw nothing helped. You did a close up and I saw which lid you used. I almost returned it. Thanks!!!
At the opposite end of the spectrum from the motorized Veggie Bullet is probably the Chefdini food processor. You have to turn a crank by hand to make the blades spin, but from the infomercial, it appears to do a decent job of shredding, mincing, etc. Perhaps you'll do a review of it someday?
Is that still around? I haven't seen that one in years. I considered digging out my dad's old 1970s era slicer called Kitchen Magician. I could do that (and the Veggetti) for my follow-up to compare.
I have this product, I store it up high and actually forgot that I have it. I wish the blender part was bigger. I’m now used to cut everything with knives, need to use it more.
I don't have one of these or anything like it because of the same problem....the size of the feed chute. You have to finagle (like you did with the russet potato) to get some veggies to fit.
I have this . I will agree my problem with it was storage , clean up between items and Somethings just don't go in as well. But overall I like it , Do I use it? I only use it at christmas. I want a plain jane Food processor. been looking thru your reviews haven't ran across one yet
I like my Curtis Stone "chop chop" I got on HSN. So easy to use and the clean up is simple and it is easy to store. Also mine is teal, one of my favorite colors lol..Thanks for the reviews...
Hi, I bought the All in one prep tool Item #443-432 from HSN. It is so easy to use and clean up is simple. I like that I can also take the container that I chopped into and put the cover that also comes with it and put it in the fridge.
Just got mine yesterday and i love it! I bought mine from bb&b. Used 20% off coupon and im ok that i dont have all the extras because i already have a nutra bullet that i can use to make sauces and dressings. I do want a couple of the blades that did not ome with mine but they are a good price and the shipping is not too much to pay either so once they are back in stock i will just order those. I just could not wait for the unit to be shipped to me this time. LOL!
I've used it every day since posting this and I'm still happy with it. I'm not sure if I will use all of those extras very much, but I do use that custom bowl every time. Thanks for the comment!
My mom just bought one..... From the site. I originally gave it a WTF did you buy... But it is really nice... I also have a Sunbeam OSKAR... 45 years old! and dose the same thing but it's smaller. It can also make homemade mayo.
Loved your review. Just wasn’t sure which assembly & blades come with and which are the extra accessories, the bowl, the angel hair blade and the shoestring blade?
I always worry when I come across negative reviews. Saw this onTV. Have been wanting a food processor. I subscribe to Blue Apron and it takes a long time to prep the food and I have a vitamix. Saw the veggie bullet in Walmart for 150 bucks, had lots of problems with a maxi-matic pressure cooker and don't feel like throwing away money on stuff that won't work when I need it to.
I'll make this short. Order on line. Unpacked! OMG what? a lot of stuff. followed directions to the letter. Excited to turn it on and invite my guest for dinner. Damn this cracked on the first use. Back to my hand cranked spiralizer.
I'd have to throw in a onion for my suggestion. Almost all the motorized machines just turn them into some kind of watery mush instead of chopping/cutting them.
The price is too high for me. If they had a larger fry blade it might be worth it but those really tiny frys burn easily and don't have enough of a soft center compared to steak fries for my liking.
The problem with these things are they don't last, especially Magic Bullet products. I wanna know how long this product lasted for maybe in a little update a while from now.
I am sooooo sorry I did not see your review before I bought the Veggie Bullet. I love the machine but I was in such a hurry to have it, I went to BBB and bought it. I did not realize until I got it home that it does not come with the extra blades and accessories. I called the website to order the extra blades and accessories but I got some creepy guy on the phone who did not seem legit. If anyone knows a brick and mortar store I can buy all the extra accessories please post the location. Thanks!!!
I think you can go to the Veggie Bullet website and just order those extras. As far as I know, the extras haven't made it to store shelves yet. What do you think of the unit?
