I love your garden at any stage and your enthusiasm. I’m away from my garden at the moment and miss it. We are a few weeks away from spring and can’t wait to see everything coming into bloom. Cheers Bronwyn 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Thanks for the tour! My grandma grew surprise lilies. She would never have called them naked ladies. :) It has been dry and hot here in Parkersburg, too. My pots have done great because I refuse to let them die! I did lose two coral bells that were well established plants. They literally just gave up the fight. I have been working on a bed I let go over the last couple of years so I will be adding new things this fall and next year. Until next time!

Rachel I get it I’ve learned how much more water why perennials trees ,even what I thought established trees, needed more water. The pots I’ve need deligent watering. I’ve burned up and almost lost my upright black elderberry it is showing green leaves . What a learning process this summer. With these cooler mornings and days this week we will feel more energized I’ve a few plants given me to get into the ground. Garden challenges keep us thinking snd rearranging . Not any sales yet at our Lowe’s or Home Depot and many plants look burned or half dead😳. Keep me posted on the bed your working on little by little right? Good hearing from you.

Love your garden spaces! Verbena Bonariensis is my new favorite this year - grown from seed and it is tall and sways in the wind and never flops from the rain or wind.

Hi Thank you for vlogging. The west Virginia hillbilly tomato is a showstopper. I know what you mean by the heat drying up your plants just whilst your back is turned almost. It IS a different kind of sun and rain now. Very deceptive. I long for autumn when the plants can take care of themselves for a bit longer at least. You look leaner with your new exercise regime. Magnificent 💞💯☕☕🍰🍰

@@77sun222 ha ha ha thank you leaner not sure about that but I can feel strength! I’ve always had a workout routine to stay strong for my back to do these gardening things. Try drumball once you’ll love it!!this summer has taught me I must water once weekly regardless which I’ve never ever done in 50 years but now I’m on it !! Climate change here as for you is real we gardeners recognize these differences. Stay cool but how can it be August?😳☺️

I love your garden & your energy! So fun to also hear Reg add his comments. Do you have a red bud tree? It’s one of my favorites.

Here is the video if you want to meet her , Removing girdled tree roots for eastern redbud befor planting , we planted this over a year ago. The weather has been hard on plants this season. Still your garden has a lot of good things going on😊

@@paulinecrispin121 Pauline just this week I was editing and realizing there are still strong heat tolerant plants in the garden plus the plants I’ve cut off are growing fresh foliage. My videos are usually about a week behind where I truly am. Just shot a video that will show the new growth but it won’t go up for a week . Busy with family and friend this summer. Sitting is fun but it takes quiet time for me . 😉. What growing well for you right now?

I am excited for next season. Though I love love love my mostly shade garden (both front and back yards), I finally pulled a giant forsythia that has been in the only sunny spot in my yard since I've lived here (16 years), and suddenly, I HAVE A SUN BED!!! It's not huge, but it's a space! I cannot wait to plant some things that I have envied forever but have been unable to have. So I have a garden redesign too, and I am really excited to get it done.

@@annadam do you have any inspiration for the spot? What made you decide to get rid of such an established shrub? Isn’t it interesting when we finally see an area in our established gardens that no longer make us smile ! Yay I wanna know what you choose !
@annadam
@annadam Месяц назад
@@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 this particular forsythia was sprawling and continuing to spread. It took up so much valuable real estate in a small area and really, it only bloomed for a couple of weeks in late winter. The area is at the top of my driveway where folks stroll by often and I wanted something more interesting for them to look at. I have always wanted a conifer but never had a sun space to accommodate one. Now, for the anchor in this space I am going to put in a Franky Boy arborvitae that I hope to pick up tomorrow. Around that, I will put in a Mt. AIry Fothergilla that I bought a few weeks ago, a Rose Creek Abelia, and other various sun perennials. So far I have some geum, agastache, black and blue salvia, caryopteris, Belamcanda, and will look for some others, but right now I already have planted in that space the rose campion! It loves it there! 🥰
