It's Nice To Be Alive - OUT NOW vegyn.ffm.to/itsnicetobealive Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds - OUT NOVEMBER 8TH vegyn.ffm.to/odcd Starring Corville Cuffy Dir. Joshua Gordon Edited by Matt Kitchin Graded by Jason Wallis
One of my friends just passed away in a scuba diving accident and we found this as one of the very last songs she saved on an unfinished playlist titled "rebirth". When I tell you I got chills while listening to this...
This song sounds like the acceptance stage of grief, when the pain isn't gone yet, but on it's way out, and hope isn't quite there yet, but on its way in.
DUDE DID YOU RANDOMLY PICK THE NUMBER 47?? ive been reading about it, and that number is the most common recurring pattern of numbers and i guess it represents something deep but i forgot what it was ... moral of the story, as soon as i became ware of the fact that this number is everywhere , ive been seeing it 247 (no pun intended)
bringing me back to the happy wonky/glitch stuff from around the 2010s. just nice, comfy, well made music. a few off top im reminded of in case any of yall care - seekae - mount kimbie - early flying lotus - very early shlohmo - gold panda - pre-first album james blake - caribou (who deserves more love) - nosaj thing - javelin (also need more love) - dan deacon that's plenty im sure but this was a nice nostalgia trip. good shit vegyn :D
thank yall, one thing that never changes is my urge to vomit music recs where/when I can. not that I'm some guru but I spend an irresponsible amount of time digging for music. I have a last.fm but otherwise if anyone wants recs dm me :D (I also make music and never have an opportunity to plug it so, uh, do that!) appreciate the love
@@gwb173 man adult swim is always on some other shit and I mean that in the best way. I dont watch a lot of their current shows but they've always been collaborating with good artists (fuck, thats how I learned about DangerMouse who I didnt even realize produced The Mouse and the Mask even though the clues couldn't be more obvious lmao) but as far as their current shit with the uhh aquarium shows idr the name lol they seem like they're branching out even more. especially that line between goofy and real quality shit. there's a lotta heart in that area if the artist can pull it off. (jpeg is a perfect example of this). shout out adult swim for somehow never being shit.
I was obsessed with this song during the peak pandemic months when I was living alone and losing my mind while isolated in a big city. this song brought me a lot of comfort.
When the youtube algo keeps recommending you something to watch and you keep puttting it off.. then you finally watch it and it's like OHHHHH... sorry I didn't listen to you. You DO have my best interest at heart. I will probably do it again, but for now, I'm glad I took notice. Thanks YTAlgo.
that's sora's 'whoa!' from the first Kingdom Hearts game when Kairi wakes him up after the intro cutscene. Actually Kairi has a quote in this song too.
came back to say thank you. this helped me start the process of removing myself from an extremely abusive relationship. I cried listening to this the first time, and realistically through this it started the chain of events that eventually gave me the strength to save myself, and move forward. i lost this song until now, and now i am in such a better place. and i listen and i still cry, and i just want to say that you should never stop making music no matter what. thank you again.
I love this. Makes me really express my sadness through crying. I’m currently grieving when I need to. I just heard this for the first time, and instantly started crying. Then it said “don’t cry baby, I love you” felt like it was truly speaking to me lol
i listened to otto as a result of this comment and i can't agree more. maybe its just similar production styles or something, but they both have this weird/unique quality thats so nice
*it’s nice to be alive* that’s what i’m trying to believe. usually within a few days time i’m back to believing the opposite.. but all we can do is try. stick to it everyday, that’s the hard part, and each day it’ll get easier. i hope it’s true.
It's been almost 5 months since I lost a very special friend and seeing everyone share their grief in these comments makes me feel a little less orphaned in my sorrow. She would've loved dis song.
It's time for me to admit that reading the comments has become my main activity on youtube. Bruh you guys are hilarious !!! edit: and DEEP😮 some of yall be so deep (in a good way!!), like the type of people I wanna have long conversations with, on a rooftop, on a summer night... Beautiful humans...
Fede Zur i love comments like this. I have a 3yr7mo old son. What's your boy's favorite music to listen to? I have a playlist for my boy, msg me to get a link... Kkrattiger at the apple email address aka icloud dot com
Thank you the title of the song is so true 👍🏿 life gets rough and we always get betrayed by the ones closest 💔 to us but I must remember it's still nice to be alive
Such a beautiful piece of art, I can feel so many emotions in it. As a beggining producer, I think this is what I wanna be aiming for in my music. If a true art and talent would be equal with the amount of views on youtube, it would have over million of them right now. Great job !
Going to take a fat minute to be able to produce something this good. Good luck on your journey, though. The better the music in this planet, the better life is.
@@franknakasako7255 I mean, don't get me wrong this is a dope beat, but its not that complex. Once you learn how to make your own synths this will come easy.
@@SlapHappy it's not about the complexity. It's about having the taste to piece together music in such an aesthetically pleasing and musical way.Takes years. some of the best songs are simple as hell made after lots of hard work
@@SlapHappy whoever said this isnt hard is crazy... its not just synths its effects and alot of programming to make certain sounds sound the way they do
Oddly satisfying.. added this 9 months ago and now binging via my Playlist. The music and the video not only match but brings my childhood back all in one.. wtf is this, time travel via a screen? I love this.. absolutely genius.
reading through the comments its cool how so many people key into emotion when listening to this song. The vibes the song creates just envelope you as it goes on and it's just a crazy experience 10/10 song.
