Knowing Jim Peterik and the rest of the Ides, I have to say that not only are they extremely talented, but they are also very warm and genuine human beings. I am proud to say that the Ides are at the top of my favorite Chicagoland bands! Check out Jim Peterik’s World Stage where he introduces and mentors new musical talent.

Ditto, Trey. Well said. To me this band was ahead of it's time. Absolutely a great song by a terrific band.

RU-vid certainly has my algorithm down suggesting this classic for me on today The Ides of March 3/15/2020 ! I've loved this hit since its release and the Leonid and Friends version on RU-vid sizzles. But to see this production.....don't get any better than this. Thank you so much for posting and may God bless every cat on stage during this performance.

1969 this track was being played on the radio in metro NYC. An event called the battle of the bands was a contest concert in Westfield, NJ held at the high school football place in '69. Ides of March got up there and absolutely nailed this track. I was 8 years old and standing on the roof of the food vendor building and watching from way behind. This was the first time that I had heard music live from what was on the radio. It was my favorite radio track at that time.

I just shared and brought attention to the low numbers to my wall. Played a little low ball- asked everyone to give this band high recognition for ALL the years of great memories from their timeless song. Then asked them to share. Will keep checking their numbers... Such a crime...

@@livelylady49 I believe its the current state of music....rather lack of talent in the music scene today. I love the original version and think Leonid and Friends did a heck of a job doing a cover. Sometimes good music deserves to be played and enjoyed by everyone.

Because all the musicians are gone. There are no more basement / garage bands. Local high schools no longer teach music. The younger people have no idea what instruments are 'brass' anymore.

I didn't have a black sedan (I had a green '69 Pontiac GTO), but whenever this song came on, I cranked up the radio and stepped down on the gas. I couldn't help myself. The sheer power of the music.
