He CAN'T be a bad guy due to his nature of being a Yordle. He's just insane because of Mordekaiser, it's his way to cope with the torture he suffered though.
My headcanon is that, his occasional outbursts regarding his height aside, Veigar is actually an incredibly benevolent boss. He just thinks he's being tyrannical, hence all of his minions serving him with apparent glee. It would make sense, given that his lore tells us that he hunts down, duels, and defeats powerful evil wizards and monsters to 'prove' he's the most evil person around, when all it accomplishes is him liberating oppressed people from tyrants and removing dangerous creatures. He doesn't seem to notice this.
your headcanon is actually what canon veigar is. He's obsesed trying to be a "villain" but fails in every aspect. Be it defeating evil beings and becoming an unintentional hero or trying to act like a tyrant boss but is actually very good to his minions.
He was canonically tortured by Mordekaiser, his evil side is the resulting corruption from that. Given he isn't naturally an evil person, someone can heal him. It just goes to show how uncaring Morde is.
@@EveryTimeV2 I thought that was the 'new' lore for Veigar, prior to Morde's rework, back when Morde was a specter originating from the Shadow Isles instead of the progenitor-god of Noxus. I think it got changed again for Veigar post-Mordekaiser rework.
Veigar probably wouldn't be a boss, but a neutral ally for the factions to work with because he wants to be evil but he ends up doing alot of good deeds
@@rkslven It'd be really cute if he treated you as a minion and send you on quests that are supposed to be evil but just end up helping the community around it.
Which is funny considering he ends up copying Rumble, notoriously short for a yordle (used to be the shortest, dunno if they changed it or nah) and getting a robot.
@@rafaelcastor2089 Honestly why I don't like his level up here, we literally already have a mecha yordle champion and they made even more as Rumble's followers. There's even one with veigar's dark mage aesthetic already, "Lil Dipper."
That and Galio isn’t calling him little out of spite. It’s clear that Galio is just used to calling everyone little due to his size. It’s partly why veigar wasn’t really offended because of those two reasons. Compared to someone like Caitlin who is intentionally making a snide remark
Don’t know if any body remembers the show “league of super evil” or “L.O.S.E” but the same voice actor for Veigar played another short evil villain named Voltar also a really petty “definitely evil” character who decides that one of the most evil things to do is to prank call everyone on the planet and then a galactic space emperor in the name of evil. I remember they broke into a bank to steal 5 dollars to get a bonus prize toatster for making a deposit at that same bank and successfully did it and left the literal millions of dollars back in the vault while simultaneously getting another villain caught in the process because she stole the rest of the money but also their five dollars.
Honestly the first time I heard the interaction between Caitlin and veigar where veigar responds “dear diary… kill Caitlin!” I died from laughing. Thank goodness the paramedics showed up and gave me some oxygen!
Veigar is one of my favourite champions, despite his ripped off design (Black Mage from Final Fantasy I believe), he really becomes his own character and makes his design his own through his character. A furry little rodent person mage, who was tortured twisted by a cruel and evil undead mage-warrior king. His trauma and broken psyche have now manifested as... an obsession with being """"""evil""""" and being tall.
It's hilarious that I know who voices this guy almost immediately. For those unaware, this iteration of Veigar is voiced by Scott McNeil, who's done some pretty notable stuff. Y'all know Hack from ReBoot? He did the voice from halfway into season 2 onwards. He also did a role for a show called 'League of Super Evil', where he played the main character Voltar... You can definitely see the similarity in both Voltar and Veigar. ... Huh. Even the names rhyme. That's honestly kinda weird, but I'll take it.
"Awww only for a Yordle" Oh my god Teemo with the backward compliment holy shit. That was on purpose i tell you. Also are we getting the Veigar mage mech in League? Maybe as a different champion?
@@shinkshonkers3787 what about garen and Darius? As far as I know they are true damage executes that are point and click aaaaand you can't block them. Veigar's R is magic dmg that can be blocked by a fair number of things.
I want a boss battle wereign you fight veigar in his robot suit, slow attack strong damage, then after defeating it you now fight him without his suit stronger damage, faster attack, and harder to hit cause of his small stature
Veigar is the second strongest character in the entire LoL universe lore-wise, yet he's treated like a parody...he also sounds like Eric Cartman with a sore throat...
He is top tier powerwise but not top 3. Top 10 or 15 definantly and he is sort of a parody but both as a sad and hilarious way. Despite all the horrible shit that happened ro him during Mordekaiser's rain for centuries he is still fundementally a good person. I also really want to see his friendship evolve with Stilted Robemaker their interactians are AMAZING.
@@MIDO44444 His can cast a literal event horizon. That is the point of no return of a black hole. He is multi-planetary-level strong. Zoe can throw around stars and Bard can manipulate time and space, sure, but a super-massive black hole can swallow them up and aren't influenced by time and space. Only Aurelion Sol is stronger because even super-massive black holes can't swallow galaxies. Nobody else is even close to his power level. Kindred doesn't count because she's just straight up death incarnate. Quite literally the grim reaper. They're a force of nature.
@@LoRVoiceLines ive been playing veigar since 2013 to this day so this voice just feels wrong, its feels like his voicelines tries to mimic final boss and at the same time the original, but i really just dont like his voice because it feels wrong lol
I gotta say, hearing Voltor after all these years is really jarring. But it fits so god damn well. Heres hoping the same VA comes back for Veigar in League whenver they get around to doing a VGU for our Dark Lord.
My main! I love him so much. I've always dreamed about a solo series for him, like invader Zim, where he tries to consume the world in darkness and Poppy has to stop him every time.
Yordles tend to become just like their enviorment. (Poppy, kled, vex and fizz being good examples). Veigar was taken captive while learning celestial magic by an evil warlord (i think it was mord but it could be someone else?), and so veigar trys to be evil too now.
