90 % of these live videos are very disappointing because of the bad vocals. but not this one. brandon butler is a fucking beast, i like how his studio recordings are not edited very much, or let´s say nearly not at all. so his live performance never disappoints and he seems to do a perfect vocal performance every fucking time. i think it sounds even better than on the album... big thumbs up to this really underrated vocalist.
Its funny going to shows veil opens at. Its basically the crowd cheers at the break thinking the song is over while 5 or 6 guys scream "all they have is just bwow wow bwowdododow"
I've seen these guys 3 times not by choice. They were opening for various bands and I must say it took those 3 shows to get me on board with these guys. I can't wait to see these guys by choice in the future. Fucking awesome band!
I hate watching videos where the crowd is dead. Did you pay for those tickets just to stand around for an hour or more doing nothing? Even if it isn't the band I came for, I try to get moving if I'm into the music.
these comments are fucking stupid as shit, generic and mostly coming from guys who never go to concerts. you won't belive it but there are people saving up energy for other bands or taking breaks for the headliner. I have seen Veil of Maya opening twice for other bands and I surely spend my energy for them but 90% of the other guys have to get some beers at the beginning to get stuff starting while waiting for another band. when you are sitting there at youtube, saying that the crowd is shit and then going to the headliner video of this concert and saying: this is a great crowd, don't you feel fucking retarded? you really should and you also should start going to concerts.....

It's seriously fucking ridiculous how many lightyears ahead of other bands these guys are. Honestly, for a four piece they are mind-blowing, always put on a great show, stay true to form but always fresh. I can't think of a negative thing to say about them. If they played in my town once a week I'd be there every time and it would never get old. I like Veil of Maya.
+Destiny Rosé In Germany and surrounding countries have been desensitized to all forms of metal. I feel its still quite taboo to play metal music, especially with gutteral vocals in public area's in lets say north america. Most people i've shown this music around me always react negatively to it. (wow thats angry, wow is that satan music? ect)
+Laird Swan That must've been a very strange crowd... Just went to see them this Saturday. The whole crowd was wild! Moshpitting, headbanging, etc etc... You may have a point of the countries not being really used to it, but also keep in mind, there are some people who go to the concerts, and bearly mvoe their heads but instead can't keep their eyes off of the guitarists' fingers, for instance :)
To everyone trashing the crowd, understand that European crowds tend to be different than American. Namely, European crowds tend to care about the music.

Shouldn't you be more upset that the vocals cut out/are censored at certain parts? I mean, that;s surely more important than anything the audience is doing.
I disagree. If you've heard the recording of the song, this live show sounds exactly like it. Also, this was the last song of a probably, 40 minute set, so the fact that they are still moving around, and that Brandon's vocals are that good at that point is beyond impressive.
So sah es leider auch in Köln aus. Ich hab mich mega auf die Band gefreut und bin dem emtsprechend abgegangen, aber der rest war alles so TWDP-Fan Girls. Leider haben die zu wenig beachtung bekommen.
yes i guess they didn't know them, at their show in cologne i felt like only me and probalbly 10 others knew them lol. But hey, they did this tour to gain new fans, and they did play great shows, so I hope it worked out :)
I used to hate when bands used sound samples in songs like it was still the early 2000s... but this was genius! Love VoM! Also, this crowd is just sad. Whatever happened to supporting EVERY band on the tour? I'm sure most of them went to see Devil Wears Prada and ABR but cmon, at least move an inch ffs!

Watch the video by ImpericonDE that shows the set-up of this show. When you see the pit with no people in it you'll understand why there isn't much movement. There's like steps and stairs in the pit so you can't run around. It's just a crappy venue design, not a crappy crowd.
