From a normal person's perspective, this is two large powerful beings fighting each other, from an elder dragon's perspective this is basically the equivalent of seeing the brother-sister duo fighting over a chair
I love how these two are like polar opposites. They share the same body type, but Velkhana is white and blue and covered with dead, rigid ice while Malzeno is black and red and clad in clouds of squirming, insect-like life.
Love the little detail of velkhana make distance, fires a warning shot, then freezes the air between, and wait for malzeno’s reaction. Then Malzeno hesitates for a second because he realizes charging in would obviously be a bad idea, but doesn’t want to be called a p*ssy and back off. After a while Velkhana decides to make the tirst move, but Malzeno use qurios to clear out the minefield as much as they can to minimize damage while retaliating.
I mean without they look so close in the same family tree. I won't be surprised especially with what we know now because of primordial. I won't be surprised if they could intervene with valconas and the concept of a ice night dragon is terrifying.
Before Velkhana was released, I always wondered what their interaction would be of Malzeno and Velkhana met. I never could have imagined that this would happen.
Can we just take a moment to just admire the animation, and the visual effects on this turf war? This has to be the best turf war in Monster Hunter rise
According to researchers and scientists of the guild ice is the weakness of the rajang species, but the Rajang doesn't know it so he fight the Velkhana and wins anyway.

Honestly I really hope we get a sub velkhana that is more powerful like AT velkhana but instead it’s called queen velkhana or ice queen velkhana or something that fits her name I think beira velkhana could work idk honestly
