15mph is the limit because that’s the European legal limit. Above that you have to pass your road test for a moped and wear a crash helmet. Usually European ebikes concentrate on using the rest of the battery power to keep up torque.
So let’s say u ride the bike for 2 hours pretty hard in the plus charging mode can you get the battery charged up at least like at 75 percent or something
is there original fenders and original rear and front led lights ? how can we take the batteries out to charge it at home or in a restaurant ? where can we buy it in Europe or Switzerland ? Thanks for your great review but miss all those details.
The bike does have integrated lights. We're a US dealer so we do not have information about how to purchase in your country. The batteries cannot be taken out to charge separately since they are integrated in the motor.
Hello question do u guys still do the set up for the Brompton to make them electric.. And how do we order them. And are you working in another store at this time. I know nyce..on 58th street shut down :( u guys were great
There's a good trick to doing it more quickly, but we wanted to break down every step. If you loosen the fork up first, then release the rear frame, you can bring both wheels down together at the same time and do the seatpost afterwards.
It's actually very quick and easy once you get the hang of it. We found that it's even easier to just undo the front fork hinges and fold the back and front wheels at the same time.
in fairness at that price I´d expect titanium or carbon fibre. As to no lighter bike? Have you seen thew Hummingbird bike, okay ts price is heavier but....
You'll need 2 more Quicycle's eventually when they break down beyond repair after a year ;) You get what you pay for, top quality/design/service does come at a price.
NYCeWheels Can you support that claim with data on their failure rate and customer dissatisfaction? Sure, the Vello looks great, but it is ungodly steep.
great product, but who wants to pay that for a bike.. please develop a bike that is $500. That is what an average person would want for an ebike, unless they're rich
That price is unrealistic for an ebike, that would barely cover the battery cells needed to make an ebike with a decent usable range. Maybe with ebike gaining popularity combines with new battery technology(Tesla has some new cells in the works that would be great if they deliver as promised, and it trickles down to ebikes). Even looking at ebikes in the low $1000s you will see they are lacking on features, and the components they use are garbage. I would be scared to ride something of that quality at 20+ mph.
You are clueless. Electric bikes usually weight 40lbs plus. This is a miracle. A bike that can be ridden as fast as any bike with some upgrades. And you can go electric on hills if you want a rest.
Sure, you can also buy really nice lawn mowers, televisions, and sound systems for that price too, but they also have nothing to do with bikes. We offer plenty of other products at more affordable prices, but this is top of the line in terms of frame construction and components.
Not crazy about the folding / look / style / For that price I expected a OH WOW ! But instead it looks thin, and flimsy all in the name of Light Weight. Just my opinion.
