Omg yes!!!! I went to six flags and it’s just a bunch of lame large open areas with zero theme. Just boring all around despite good rides. Tells you a lot when they technically have better coasters but the parks suck. That’s literally only because of theming

@ok2255- no, the 'heart lining' was installed before maverick opened, it had to be removed due to high gforce and stress on the train so the 'heart lining' is no longer on maverick

I just got home yesterday from 3 days at Universal. I was sooo lucky the velocicoaster was running. Rode it 4 times. 3 in front seat, once in last seat. Omg!!! Too bad some have to ride in the middle. The detail from start to finish is outstanding. Also got lucky that the tribute store opened while I was there😁

This is probably one of the most obvious coasters he gave a perfect 10 to, that he didn’t even need to say it at all in this video. Also without a doubt, this is the most in-depth review in this channel! Great video, and I hope to ride Velocicoaster someday soon.

Just got back to the uk from 2 weeks in Orlando and this is far and away the best rollercoaster I have ever been on. Managed to get on it 8 times and it gets better every time. It’s so much fun from the launches, the stalled inversions, the drop from the top hat and the insane mosasaurus roll that tries to throw you out of your seat. Anyone who likes rollercoasters has to ride this, it will have you smiling for days afterwards.

Rode this for the first time today. It was utterly amazing. I literally walked out of this ride when it was over totally blown away. Had to sit for an hour afterwards to be able to absorb mentally and physically what I just experienced.

First time on this ride, I was in the second row and the airtime on that top hat was insane! that second launch going into the top hat shocked me in ways I can't explain. overall a phenomenal ride

As a person who's terrified on coasters, I can't fathom that people have the composure to have their hands up the whole time. Especially for this coaster.. I be praying to the gods after riding this today and I was clutching the handles for my LIFE 🙏

Rode it yesterday when we visited Universal for my moms birthday. My mom didnt want to, but my dad is a HUGE roller coaster person, he worked at an amusement park over 20 years ago. The track is really close to the discovery center so after we went on it we ate lunch. The wait was totally worth it. It's my favorite intense roller coaster, next to Cheetah Hunt in Busch Gardens Tampa. Then Hagrids, but to me that isnt an intense coaster, so it's my favorite "family coaster" (technically it's called a story coaster I think, correct me if I'm wrong). Guys, I was secured in my seat nice and tightly, but I still got LOTS of air time, especially in that final roll. I wasnt that nervous to ride it when I was waiting in line. I keep telling everybody who mentions that they plan on riding it to go on it. If you like intense rides, go for it. If you're stepping out of your comfort zone, go for it. I dont tell them too much, but I tell them that tall drop after the launch, I barely felt a stomach drop. It was just a split second, as far as I remember. Also, when we went upside down, I didnt feel it, EXCEPT the final roll because I felt like I was going to be flung out of my seat. Oh also, since my dad was in a wheelchair, we had to either ride the front or back. My dad forced me on the back row. Yeah also with coasters where some of them are rattling and shake you around and you get a headache afterwards, I barely felt any shaking or anything like that. I felt a little vibration, but it was SO SMOOTH, NO HEADACHES! I'm not a huge roller coaster person, but still ya gotta go on it.

I’ve had the privilege of being able to ride this and it really is an amazing ride. It’s a pretty good rollercoaster on it’s own (although admittedly not the best) but when you add in the theming elements both in the que and on the actual ride it becomes quite an amazing experience. I’d say the part that stuck out to me were the little details in the que, including how you can see the coaster launch in a room and have raptora running after it on a screen, while in another room you have raptors which not only make solid animatronics, but you can also feel air coming out of them making it feel like they are actually breathing. The attention to detail is really spectacular.

They let me go in with my shades, last minute I decided to place them in my front pocket. Totally shattered with the lap bar. Idiot me!!!!! I was very impressed with the locker situation, really cool. Now I did it yesterday and being in the sun, with no shade, no water and in Orlando summer weather can be the most brutal and challenging negative side of this ride

As somebody who’s only been on Australian coasters (dc rivals, abyss, supermen escape, leviathan, jet rescue) this looks like the best roller coaster in the world, not beaten by anything else, but I wouldn’t know cause I haven’t ridden it.

The lockersystem reminds me of the one they use at F.L.Y. in Phantasialand. But what I prefer about F.L.Y. is, that you use a bracelet to acces the locker. And when you exit the station, you can scan your bracelet to see wich locker you have

When I went the line was all the way to the back of the extended queue. Estimated wait time was 90 minutes which is still very short considering the line. But it moved so fast that it was probably a little bit less than an hour before I got on. The line basically never stopped moving. Was a really cool experience itself.

I'm extremely scared of rollercoasters and I'm going to Universal for the first time in less than a month. I'm sooo nervous and sooo excited to ride velocicoaster even though it scares the hell out of me, the only coaster I've ridden is superman el último escape in six flags mexico and it really freaked me out so i'm very nervous about this one. The security to get on this ride was way more stringent than the entirety of Disney, and only slightly more intense than to enter Universal. I have never had ride operators more emphatically require that I remove literally everything from my pockets; I got wanded over my belt!! But man, while I usually think it’s being over precautionary or scammy for theme parks to require you to rent a perpetual locker for your belongings (*cough*Six Flags*cough*), it really did feel necessary for this one. I was surprised when they let me go on with my glasses tho, and I was certainly clutching them to my face as we went into the corkscrew over the water. Not that I would have needed them after. Pretty sure this ride give me 20/20 vision. And more teeth.

Well I finally got to this beast. I’m not sure I’m 100% on the hype train like this is not going to make my top 10 certainly not fight for top spot but top 20 yes, 15? Strong chance. This was a great ride there is really no element or aspect that is weak. Ironically I’m kind of in line with you I thought that the stall was kind of underwhelming but the wave turn hit harder than I thought. The first half was good the second half was great and yeah that high speed roll low over the water is a surreal and brilliant experience. Overall it’s a step below Maverick in terms of intensity but it is longer and has a much better layout...Like I said it’s too soon for me to really do rankings but it’s probably hovering around top 15 and regardless, damn great ride

As a universal local, I've been following this coaster since construction first began. I went in with insanely high expectations, and all I can say is I was absolutely blown away. All of my expectations were met and far exceeded. Absolute dream of a ride and it makes me so excited for what's to come in the future!

I am so glad I was able to ride this since the Express Pass did not apply and the single rider line was maxed. Very intense - disorientingly insane. Could not really appreciate any of the theming during the ride because it was so fast. It was amazing that as hard as that lap bar was pushed down there was still air time!

I've ridden this beast 3 times now, mind you I don't scream on coasters, I laugh or smile. This one was different, I SCREAMED on this one so much I lost my voice for 3 days. That mosasaurus roll is the most INSANE element I've experienced.

@@IWANTHOTDOG back is more intense speed and turn/twist wise so definitely what I prefer after riding 10th row out of 12 and row 2

I have to say, Intamin and Universal's Islands of Adventure have done it again~ They did it once with Hagrid, but I'm glad Universal gave Intamin a second chance at redeeming themselves with Jurassic World Velocicoaster. Now we have two of the greatest story-driven coasters out there, and both by one of the most innovative manufacturers right now. Intamin keeps topping themselves with their Blitz coaster model, and Idk how they're able to be so creative with each Blitz coaster layout. But Intamin being Intamin, they've succeeded~~

I agree, but just to be annoying I have to point out that this isn't really Universal giving Intamin a second chance since Velocicoaster was already in the works for a while by the time that Hagrid's opened

They lost two coasters when they closed Dragon Challenge…they needed to add two to get the capacity back. Hagrids was amazing…and Velocicoaster is phenomenal. They have a great 1-2-3 coaster punch in that park now.
