the water is not entering radially rather it is entering into the impeller eye axially and then by the influence of the impeller it moves radially and then due to the rotation of the impeller blade it is leaving the impeller tangentially. Note : THE WATER IS NOT ENTERING RADIALLY

No man, water entrance is radial...... The reason is that the suction pump has a bend when it enters the impeller.

direction of u1 is wrong. if the direction of u1 is which u have taken then resultant will not be what u have taken it to be .. please see too it and do not teach wrong to the students .. Doubt on whether i should rely on your source or not

He is correct. U1 is blade speed. In this case, blade is rotating anti clock wise....... Direction of U1 is correct
