very nice:) our Sanatana Dharma teaches self discipline and control of senses and teaches us that our life purpose is to serve others...do our duty properly leave the consequences to the Almighty, Lord Krishna Aum Namo Narayana!
Dear Raghu, You can't Understand these process , you may telling true in some others activities. 1.Helping Poor is Human nature 2.Work perfectly is to survive. 3.Acharya's is not an Agent , they are here to provide Knowledge to us. As per Vedic Culture God can realized in many ways. One recomended via Pooja. If you doesn't have proper Knowledge pls do not blame all.
Shri Velukudi Krishnan explains how bakthi is to be done... While acharyas and gurus need to do puja and rituals in a certain way, we pray and perform puja to get something or to fulfill some wishes, but as time goes, when we do puja, we have to do because we love our God and we like to show gratitude, it is called 'kaingaryam' He states example from US, how people follow speed limits because they do not want to get speeding tickets, some people use radar detector to find out where cops are hiding..the right way to drive is to follow rules, not for ticket or cops:) Thus do the good from the heart for it is the right thing to do:) Aum Namo Narayana!
@S Kmr is shikha necessary to keep in Sri Sampradaya? I am about to be initiated in the coming month at the age of 20yrs and I had been told to grow my hair for the past 6yrs, which has been past my back. I have been told to keep a Shikha sir, they are going to shave half my head in the temple, by my family. What kind of Shikha do Sri Vaishnavas keep specifically? Is it like the Sir in the video? Kindly clear my doubts. Om namo Narayanah.
@S Kmr sorry to have replied late, Sir. I live in Odisha with our family, though my father is a Sri Vaishnava Tamizh and my mother is an Odia person initiated into Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya. She inculcated the love for Sri Ranganathar, Tamizh and Odia languages in me. Here, Odias are very nice people, almost all are Vaishnavites and don't believe in caste historically, but they also are voracious meat eaters due to previously Shaktic influence. I am trying to fulfill all traditional Vaishnava precepts thoroughly, it's not a cult where I was groomed. Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan.
Sir, when God is everywhere, God will be in our puja, thoughts, wishes, prayers, actions, etc and in all the lovely creation we see around us:) Calm mind can see the soul beyond any physical being and can sense God everywhere:) anger and hatred for anything and anyone will vanish for good:)
