A good way to secure field dressing and campsites is to use a portable electric fence. The lightest one out there weighs only 2.4 lbs and it’s powerful enough to deter a hungry griz. Just a suggestion
Thanks Dan. If I remember right my sight was set at 30. I judged him at 50 so I put some daylight over his back and set it. He was about 58 so I still clipped his heart.
With a bow? No. In my younger years I use to pack my horses into the Sierras in California when I lived there. - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WbHle0wnhtQ.html - Have shot many deer with my bow but all in Texas where I live now. - ru-vid.com - Tried hunting bear and deer in California with my bow but never got to fling an arrow. One of these days, when time and money allow, I would love to try again for a mule deer but maybe Colorado or Wyoming. All the best and thanks again for sharing the hunt. I guess you got the job Cameron use to have with EHJ?
@@dillonmclaughlin402 you should check out Dan's shot placement videos. Might be helpful! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V4_hEwLiKos.html
We could probably skip out on early goose, doves and teal for some action like this! Great filming and your patience on the stalk along with taking advantage of the opportunity are incredible.
Dan I know that shot was super impressive but let’s not ignore the fact that you killed a damn bird with a rock!,! Hahahaha THAT was the best shot IMO! haha
Love the vids but can ya please keep the stupid sponsor ads out of the middle of the dogon screen during the vids... its one to promote some companies stuff but do it at the start or end...I pay not to see ads then see nothin but sponsor ads from beginning to end.
Dan Pickar I get it but there's plenty of good Hunters out there that make lots of money on RU-vid and don't have advertisements right in the middle of a good shot in the video but so be it
