Thanks Dan. If I remember right my sight was set at 30. I judged him at 50 so I put some daylight over his back and set it. He was about 58 so I still clipped his heart.

With a bow? One of these days, when time and money allow, I would love to try again for a mule deer but maybe Colorado or Wyoming. All the best and thanks again for sharing the hunt. He probably had the whole area ranged so he had landmarks to guess on, also he ran back to the 2 point, and he probably ranged that spot too
