The clinical application of vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) tuning measurement.
This is a recorded webinar in three parts presented by Darren M. Whelan, MSc, Clinical and Research Manager (Interacoustics UK) and International Clinical Trainer (Interacoustics Academy).
In the first part of this webinar, Darren Whelan provides a summary and update on the measurement properties for both cervical VEMP (cVEMP) and ocular VEMP (oVEMP) recordings.
The learning objectives are as follows:
Part 1. Update on VEMP measurement properties.
Part 2. Explore VEMP tuning application.
Part 3. Consider the clinical utility of VEMP tuning in vestibular assessment.

I had an absent left occular VEMP than they state “supports peripheral vestibular involvement”.. they tested me over and over and then she said ok that must mean.. and wouldn’t say then said ok that’s all good. It also then said. All other tests within normal Range. Left ear weakness 6%. My GP didn’t read that as anything significant.. but I did? I know 6% is low and within normal limits but isn’t it a little more significant when I also in that ear had zero/absent response? have been having serious balance issues; also have autism, have had other severe sensory processing disorders and proprioception issues. If you can tell me if I’m correct, as I can’t get the person on the phone to explain the results. Thank u

I am sorry you are dealing with balance problems. We are not in a position to provide medical advice for individuals. Our advice is general and educational. I can only encourage you to consult a physician or other licensed healthcare professional for further evaluation and discussion. Best wishes to you. Kind regards IC, Interacoustics
