He was such good soul, stern and grouchy but well meaning who really worms his way into ones heart and you feel dreadful when Ursurna cut him down, but they got her in the end and I cheered for Vendel
If this were made into live action with the same magic it would be a sensation. This story has enormous potential. Plus they could add in all the content they cut. If a live action version of this franchise was done right, it could literally rival star wars, marvel and anything else. The narrative story potential of this show is insane! It never did live up to its potential unfortunately, but the potential for something big is there.

@@Dreamwitch_ Yes I agree, especially as a netflix original. think if they remade it as a live action today and kept with the same spirit as before the animated one, the could put some famous actors in there, have more creative freedom than before and get the things that were wrong right. Plus there is also the opportunity to have more episodes than the cartoon because netflix limited how many episodes some series can have down to 10, that was the main thing that affected trollhunters, the amount of episodes it could have per season. The primary reason the series struggled or seemed rushed to some capacity, if it had more room to build the story over more episodes, the series would have been perfect if that was the case but anyway. A live action series with writers loyal to the theme and story of the original cartoon with a different company other than netflix could nail it on the head and advertise this series to wider a audience and it would explode in popularity. This story has so much potential for marketing that it is literally insane. That is originally what the creators wanted to do, but they didn’t. Honestly, If I won the lottery tomorrow or ever. I would hit up Guillermo Del Toro about remaking it and maybe buying some rights to it or buying it outright. I would not let Netflix help with it or anything. I could am a pretty good writer as it is, and could, with the help of gullierno del toro who created the story and even made many other famous ones, it could become huge. It could make all kinds of money. At this point it is almost like a dream. But if I had the means financially and the connections, I would do it 100 percent and propel this show into the popularity it deserves
